Skills
Humanitas is hiring for this role in several places. This vacancy is in Rotterdam.
This job advert was originally written in Dutch.
The role
This is what you will do:
As an Individual Healthcare Provider, you provide personal care and perform nursing technical tasks, such as administering medication, wound care, and injections. In doing so, you always look at what someone can and wants to do themselves.
You guide residents in their daily lives, notice changes in their health or behavior, and take action when necessary. You have an eye for the person behind the resident and make time for a chat, a moment of attention, or an activity that aligns with someone's wishes.
At Akropolis, care is about more than just daily tasks. You contribute to a pleasant living environment in which residents can be themselves, make their own choices, and enjoy their day.
You work independently, but you never do it alone. Together with colleagues, practitioners, and loved ones, you ensure good, person-centered care and a meaningful day for our residents.
This will be your workplace:
Akropolis is the largest residential care location of Stichting Humanitas and is located in the Rotterdam district of Hillegersberg-Schiebroek. Our nursing wards, where approximately 200 residents live, are located in the high tower. The Gerard Spronkersflat, where residents live independently, is located in the low-rise building.
The connection between both living styles makes Akropolis special. Residents of the Spronkersflat volunteer for and together with residents of the nursing wards. In this way, we strengthen each other and create a place where involvement and living together are central.
There is always something to experience at Akropolis. Residents can enjoy a walk through the green garden, sing together in the Atrium, or participate in activities involving music, movement, and social interaction. You will also find a restaurant and bar on the ground floor where residents, employees, and local residents come together.
The various cultural backgrounds of residents and employees make Akropolis colorful and special. Together, we celebrate different holidays and traditions and learn from each other's stories and customs.
With us:
You work at a versatile residential care location with different types of care.
Personal attention and the well-being of residents are central.
You get space to think along and take initiative.
You work together with committed colleagues and other professionals.
There is attention for social interaction, fun, and a pleasant living environment.
You get the chance to help build innovative and future-proof care.
Akropolis is easily accessible by public transport, bicycle, and car. Additionally, there is sufficient free parking available.
This is you:
You are reliable, independent, and have a warm heart for elderly care. You look beyond just the care task and see the person behind the resident. You know how important it is to align with someone's wishes, needs, and possibilities.
You are flexible, think in solutions, and enjoy looking together with colleagues at how care can be even better. Sometimes good care requires looking just a little differently. Are you someone who bends the rules and sometimes colors outside the lines? Then you fit well at Humanitas.
You take responsibility, dare to show initiative, and are open to new ideas. At the same time, you are a true team player who supports colleagues and works with others toward good care.
Furthermore:
You have a diploma in Verzorgende IG (level 3).
You are authorized and competent in medication and nursing technical procedures.
You have a heart for elderly care and an eye for the person behind the resident.
You can work independently and take responsibility.
You enjoy working together with colleagues and other disciplines.
You think in possibilities and are open to innovation.
You want to continue developing yourself and contribute to the care of tomorrow.
This is what you will receive from us:
At Stichting Humanitas, we believe it is important that you can do your work with pleasure and confidence. Therefore, you can count on good employment conditions and the space to continue developing yourself:
Salary according to CAO VVT FWG 35/40 (€17.48 - €24.69 gross per hour / €2,735.91 - €3,864.43 based on 36 hours per month)
Irregularity allowance (ORT) for evening, night and weekend shifts;
A contract with hours in consultation.
Holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus.
Pension accrual via Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn (PFZW).
Opportunities to follow trainings and educations.
Space to think along, take initiative, and further develop yourself.
A committed team in which collaboration, trust, and personal attention are central.
