As an Individual Healthcare Provider, you provide personal care and perform nursing technical tasks, such as administering medication, wound care, and injections. In doing so, you always look at what someone can and wants to do themselves.

You guide residents in their daily lives, notice changes in their health or behavior, and respond to their personal needs. You have an eye for misunderstood behavior and make time for a chat, a moment of attention, or an activity that suits the resident.

You work together with colleagues, practitioners, and loved ones to ensure residents have a pleasant day. In doing so, you look beyond care alone: well-being, autonomy, and the resident's life story are also important.

Hannie Dekhuijzen is a warm and homely nursing home in the Rotterdam district of Charlois, close to Zuidplein and the Zuiderpark. Residents with dementia and other psychogeriatric care needs find a safe and trusted living environment here, where their well-being is central.
