Humanitas is hiring for this role in several places. This vacancy is in Rotterdam.
This job advert was originally written in Dutch.
The role
This is what you will do:
As a District Nursing Team Leader, you will lead two district teams, each with its own dynamics. You don't need to jump in and do everything yourself. Your role is precisely to maintain an overview, give employees responsibility, and adjust course when necessary.
You are regularly present with both teams and ensure that employees know where they stand. You listen, ask questions, and instill confidence, but you also dare to make decisions when the situation calls for it.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
coaching, supporting, and developing employees and teams;
managing quality, staffing, absenteeism, productivity, and budget;
conducting development, absenteeism, and performance reviews;
improving work processes and collaboration within the teams;
identifying opportunities and collaborating with colleagues and partners within the district.
In doing so, you look beyond today. What do the teams need to continue providing good care tomorrow? Where are the opportunities for growth, collaboration, or a different way of working? You will be given the space to work on this together with your teams.
This will be your workplace:
You lead two district teams: one in Hoogvliet and one in Spijkenisse. Two teams that both ask something different of you.
In Hoogvliet there is a committed team with good connections in the district. There is close collaboration with, among others, GPs, welfare organizations, and other partners. The foundation is in place. It is up to you, together with the team, to continue building on quality, collaboration, and appropriate care.
In Spijkenisse, however, there is more room for growth and development. Humanitas wants to further strengthen district nursing here. This means that you don't just manage what is already there, but also see and utilize opportunities. For example, in the areas of collaboration, technology, and the further development of the team and district nursing.
Of course, you don't have to do it alone. You work closely with other team leaders and managers within district nursing. You share knowledge, discuss what is happening, and join forces on developments that affect multiple teams. You report to the District Nursing Manager.
This is you:
You are a leader who likes to be close to employees, without taking everything over from them. You provide trust and space, but you are also clear when something needs to be different or better. You can switch between attention for employees, good care, and the results for which you are responsible.
Do you currently work, for example, as a team leader within home care, elderly care, disability care, or another care environment? Then this position could suit you well. Experience within district nursing is welcome, but certainly not a requirement. More importantly, you understand what leadership in healthcare requires and you are eager to get to know district nursing better.
Additionally:
you have an HBO (higher professional education) level of work and thinking;
do you have experience in managing and developing employees within healthcare;
can you manage both people, quality, and business operations;
do you communicate easily and know how to bring different interests together;
do you dare to take responsibility and make decisions when necessary.
This is what you will receive from us:
A leadership position in which you are given the space to build, improve, and further develop together with your teams. In addition, you receive:
A contract for 32 to 36 hours per week;
Salary according to FWG 55 of the VVT collective labor agreement, with a maximum of € 5,413.38 gross per month based on 36 hours;
8% holiday allowance and 8.33% end-of-year bonus;
Pension accrual at Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn (PFZW);
A bicycle plan and collective discount on health insurance;
Space for training, development, and career advancement opportunities.
