  • A contract from 16 hours per week, with negotiable hours and shifts;

  • Salary in accordance with CAO VVT, FWG 45 (max. € 3.944,48 gross per month based on a 36-hour work week, depending on location and position);

The role

As a nurse, you are an important substantive linchpin within the team. You provide and coordinate nursing care to residents with somatic and psychogeriatric care needs. You look beyond the care task and have an eye for the resident, the team, and the quality of care.

What you'll do

  • Providing and coordinating nursing care;

  • Identifying changes in the health and well-being of residents and acting upon them;

  • Drafting, evaluating, and monitoring care plans and agreements in the care file;

  • Stimulating methodical working and careful reporting;

  • Monitoring the quality and continuity of care;

  • Guiding and coaching colleagues, students, and interns;

  • Collaborating with practitioners and other disciplines;

  • Identifying bottlenecks and contributing ideas for practical improvements;

  • Contributing to new working methods and developments within the location.

This is what you will do:

You take responsibility, share your knowledge, and help colleagues to further develop. You dare to make matters discussable and primarily think in solutions. In this way, we build together towards good care and a team in which open communication and collaboration are central.

This will be your workplace:

You will start working at nursing home De Wetering in Rotterdam, where residents with somatic and psychogeriatric care needs live. The care can be complex and requires expertise, clinical insight, and a person-centered approach.

De Wetering is a location in motion. We look critically at our care and collaboration and continuously seek opportunities to further develop ourselves. In doing so, we find it important that colleagues contribute ideas, take initiative, and strengthen one another.

With us:

  • You work with residents with somatic and psychogeriatric care needs;

  • You get space to propose ideas and initiate improvements;

  • You support and coach colleagues in their professional development;

  • You work together on the quality, safety, and continuity of care;

  • We build an open working climate in which we talk with each other and not about each other.

We are looking for a nurse who looks beyond their own shift and enjoys contributing to the development of the team and the location.

The position is available from 16 hours per week. The precise hours and shifts are negotiable. We would also like to discuss your preference for somatics, psychogeriatrics, or a combination thereof.

You have a heart for elderly care and understand that good care begins with attention, expertise, and collaboration. You work independently, take responsibility, and know when to involve colleagues or other disciplines.

You have a coaching attitude and enjoy sharing knowledge, giving feedback, and helping colleagues further. You do not need to have an immediate answer for everything, but you ask the right questions and stimulate others to think along.

You see opportunities to improve care and do not wait when you see chances somewhere. You are professional, reliable, and approachable, and you communicate clearly, even in complex situations.
