A completed MBO level 2 education as a Care Assistant in Healthcare & Welfare (Helpende Zorg & Welzijn).
Willingness to work both awake night shifts and sleep shifts.
The residents sleep like a baby and their loved ones also go to bed at night with a sense of peace. This is because they know that you are awake and alert.
Our residents with visual impairments depend on the good care and support that you and your colleagues provide them. You are that trusted voice beside their bed, the loving arm around their shoulder, and the help they need.
Working at night is no problem at all for you. In fact: you love the special atmosphere that the nighttime hours bring with them. Moreover, no night is the same. With your calmness, involvement, and attentiveness, you ensure a safe and pleasant night's sleep for our residents. One time by changing someone or providing reassurance, another time you support with ADL care or perform—as an Individual Healthcare Provider—nursing technical procedures. Whatever the situation requires, you are there.
Thus, between 11:00 PM and 07:15 AM, you provide optimal care and guidance to the residents of the Henriëtte van Heemstrahuis in Ermelo.
During the night, two employees are present and additionally, a sleep service is available for support when needed.
The Henriëtte van Heemstra Huis is located on the edge of Parc Viventra and is a residential care location for seniors aged 65 and older with a visual impairment. The Henriëtte van Heemstra Huis consists of five departments with a total of 48 studios and 8 apartments. Residents receive here the specific care, guidance, and support they need to live as independently as possible.
Residents of the Lantana, Datura, and De Wittenborgh locations can also call upon you from a distance during the night. You will be directed in this by the central dispatch center in Zeist, where all signals from the care call system arrive. Sometimes a situation is more complex, but even then, you keep a cool head. Moreover, you can always rely on your colleagues. Together with your colleagues, you form a close and friendly team that can count on each other.
