The role

Are you a (coordinating) supervisor who stands firmly in your shoes, can switch gears quickly, and makes a difference through clarity and humor?

Then with us, you will get the space to deploy your talent and be truly meaningful to both residents and colleagues.

Requirements

Your job as Coordinating Supervisor at Achterhoeklaan 13 at Bartiméus in Doorn

As Coordinating Supervisor at Achterhoeklaan 13, you are the linchpin of the residence, which is located on the wooded grounds of Bartiméus in Doorn. Adults with a visual impairment, a mild or moderate intellectual disability, and often additional psychiatric issues live in this residence. That makes the work challenging, but certainly also meaningful!

You support the 6 residents in their daily lives, keeping an eye on their wishes, behavior, and well-being. Personal attention and a homely atmosphere are central, while you encourage residents to do as much as possible themselves. Additionally, you monitor the quality of care: you coordinate support plans, consult with colleagues, behavioral experts, and family, and ensure that everything runs smoothly at the residence.

You consider a pleasant and safe atmosphere important. Sometimes it is cozy, sometimes there is grumbling; then it is up to you to maintain an overview and bring calm. Together with the residents, you undertake all kinds of activities, both inside and outside the residence. What makes the work special? The residents are pure and honest; if you win their trust, you get it back twofold!

You also participate yourself in care/support, and in addition, you have 4 to 5 hours per week for coordinating tasks. Think of adjusting plans, consulting with the team, and organizing care around the residents.

We are Bartiméus

Also if they have a multiple disability or experience problems with seeing due to, for example, non-congenital brain injury. We are there for their loved ones and for the professionals and organizations around them. They can turn to our expertise center, our outpatient services, our schools and residential facilities, and the various forms of day activities we offer. We do everything in our power to make it possible for people with a visual impairment to lead the life that suits them and to develop to their full potential. Because it is not about what percentage you see. It is about what percentage you live. Bartiméus. 100% living.
