What we're looking for

A university degree in Psychology or Pedagogical Sciences. Supplemented with a BIG registration (GZ-psychologist specializing in adults).
Extensive experience with psychological treatment and advising. Training in ACT and EMDR is a plus.
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
A flexible attitude. In coordination with colleagues, you are flexibly deployable and reachable.
A challenging job with plenty of room for own initiative.

Nice to have

Preferably an affinity with and knowledge of visual perception. Do you not have this knowledge? Then you can still acquire it through internal training.

What you'll get

A permanent contract for 24 hours per week. Salary appropriate to your experience and education, based on the CAO Gehandicaptenzorg FWG 65 with a maximum of €7,115 gross per month based on a 36-hour work week.

The role

As a GZ-Psychologist, if you give everything for 100% living for adults with a visual impairment, you're the one.

Meet Mieke, 45 years old; her visual functioning has decreased significantly in recent years. Because of this, she can no longer drive a car, no longer recognizes acquaintances from a distance, adjustments are needed at her work, and she has been advised to use a white cane. People in her immediate environment do not properly understand what is happening to her. It sometimes makes her sad and angry. Just one example of a case you would encounter as a GZ-Psychologist at Bartiméus. What would you do?

What you'll do

Your role as a GZ-psychologist at Bartiméus, Rotterdam location

Within a multidisciplinary team of dedicated outpatient care professionals, you, as a GZ-psychologist, maintain the overview. You also take charge of diagnostics, indication, and providing appropriate, specialized support/treatment in the lives of adults and seniors with a visual impairment. Together with the multidisciplinary team, you develop a clear and progressive treatment vision.

Tasks GZ-psychologist

In collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment team, providing substance to the outpatient treatment of clients and their system.
Performing psychological treatments, such as CBT/ACT/EMDR. These treatments focus primarily on the visual issues (preceding), with all possible medical and/or psychiatric comorbidity.
As a GZ-psychologist, you also fulfill an important role towards the team regarding interacting with clients.
Advising and consulting client(s/system) and external professionals.
Using, expanding, documenting, and sharing specialist professional knowledge. There is the possibility to participate in various expertise groups (e.g., in the fields of mobility, the elderly, and non-acquired brain injury).
Chairing the weekly multidisciplinary consultation.
The possibility to supervise a basic psychologist.
For this position, your permanent location is Rotterdam. Additionally, we also have a location in Gouda, where you can see clients. The scheduling of your working days is flexible. Thanks to digital possibilities, it is possible to work partially from home.
As a GZ-Psychologist, you participate in the Psychology professional group. The Psychology professional group consists of 8 GZ-psychologists and 4 neuropsychologists, spread across several regions (including Amsterdam, Zeist, Zwolle, and Deventer). They meet 3 times a year (online/physically) during a professional group day. Contact with one another is low-threshold.
