The role

Do you offer effective support to the client councils, so that they can represent the interests of our clients as well as possible?

Our clients and representatives think along with the policy of Bartiméus. They provide advice, have the right of consent, and test the policy against practice. This is how we know if our services align with the care needs. An important task. One where they can make good use of your help and support as an administrative secretary.

What you'll do

In everything we do, our visually impaired and blind clients are central. It is therefore not surprising that they have an important voice in how we shape our services. They can make that voice heard through the various client councils of Bartiméus, which are organized by location and client group. They do this by regularly engaging in dialogue with the managers of the client groups. What is going well? What can be improved? How can we translate the ideas and wishes of clients into new developments? As Administrative Secretary, you play a crucial role in this. You ensure that, in consultation with the chairperson of the council, the right topics are on the agenda, that they have access to all information, and that agreements are made and met. You do this in a team of a total of six administrative secretaries for client councils, works councils, and participation councils. Together, you coordinate the policy-related, organizational, and supportive activities for the various client councils and realize a good decision-making process.

You will support the client councils Seniors Outpatient and Seniors Residential. You will play an important role in:

  • Preparing and handling meetings and consultations after coordination with the chairperson of a client council and the client group manager.

  • Collecting documentation and information about the topics indicated by the council, advising (unsolicited) if necessary, monitoring the schedule, and supporting in setting priorities.

  • Realizing good cooperation between the client councils themselves and with colleagues within the organization.

  • Providing process-oriented and administrative support to the client councils. Including, among other things, recording, managing, and keeping agreements up to date, and drafting advice, letters of consent, and other correspondence and documentation.

  • Providing substantive advice and coaching to the council regarding the Wmcz.
