Are you helping to build strong teams where both employees and residents can thrive?
As a Team Manager, do you commit yourself with attention and involvement to the well-being of residents and the job satisfaction of employees? At the Henriëtte van Heemstra Huis in Ermelo, elderly care comes together with unique expertise regarding visual impairment. As Team Manager, you coach employees, help them grow, and build healthy, professional teams in which everyone feels seen and supported. In this way, you bring out the best in your employees and in the care for residents.
Your role as Team Manager at Henriëtte van Heemstra Huis in Ermelo
Providing good care and support to our seniors with a visual impairment; that is what you stand for. You can rely on a team of approximately 60 colleagues working at the Henriëtte van Heemstra Huis in Ermelo. Each and every one of them are passionate people who deserve just as much attention as our clients. Together, you ensure a pleasant living environment for our residents and a great workplace for employees.
To achieve this, we are constantly in motion. Next year, we will be completing the Dignity & Pride trajectory. In this program, we investigated how we can further improve the quality of care and increase the job satisfaction of employees. We can make good use of your experience, guidance, and decisiveness to secure the course set in daily practice.
You set the frameworks and create the conditions within which employees can get the best out of themselves. In doing so, you stimulate their professional and personal development. You are visible and accessible, have an eye for what employees need, and know when to support, coach, or conversely, give space. This is how you build an independent team that takes responsibility and shows ownership.
In short, you are responsible for:
Connecting within the triangle of client - employee - relatives.
Translating our ambition into concrete objectives for your team.
Monitoring and further developing the quality of care.
Sharing your knowledge with various professionals inside and outside Bartiméus, so as to be meaningful to all people with a visual impairment. You maintain close contacts with other healthcare providers and welfare organizations to put the Henriëtte van Heemstra Huis on the map.
Responding to external developments, such as changing care demands and labor market shortages, and balancing these with healthy, integrated business operations.
Driving forward as an ambassador for (research) projects focused on the elderly.
For the next 6 months, you will work together with the current interim team manager so that you can properly anchor the course set. During this time, you will be supported by a policy advisor from the Dignity & Pride trajectory and a team coach. In this period, you will work together with the Residential Management Team on the design of the future management of Adult & Senior Residential Care.
We are Bartiméus. With over 1,900 employees and about 850 volunteers, we are there for people in the Netherlands who are visually impaired or blind. Also if they have a multiple disability or experience problems with seeing due to, for example, non-congenital brain injury. We are there for their loved ones and for the professionals around them. They can turn to our expertise center, our outpatient caregivers, our schools and residential facilities, and the various forms of day activities we offer. We do everything in our power to make it possible for people with a visual impairment to lead the life that suits them and to develop themselves fully. Because it is not about what percentage you see. It is about what percentage you live. Bartiméus. 100% living.
You are a positive and optimistic person. You are not intimidated by this challenging task. And that is pleasant in this engaging and intensive role. You are a committed and empathetic leader who has sincere attention for employees. You know that good care begins with professionals who feel seen, receive trust, and can do their work with pleasure.
You switch smoothly between different tasks and responsibilities. One moment you are coaching an employee and the next moment you are in an integrated quality meeting. You maintain an overview, dare to make decisions, and have an eye for both daily practice and long-term developments. You love that variety and dynamism.
A challenging job at a special residential location, where you get the space to build for the future and truly make a difference for residents and employees.
