Are you an organizational talent who loves to provide peace of mind, think ahead, and switch effortlessly between different topics and contacts? Do you enjoy working in a governance environment and are you at your best when no two days are the same? Then we are looking for you!
As a board secretary, you will be part of a small and dedicated team, consisting of two members of the Board of Directors, a Board Secretary, and two board secretaries. Together with your fellow board secretary, you will provide professional support to the Board of Directors, the Supervisory Board, and the Board Secretary. In this position, you will be the first point of contact for one of our directors, Julianne Meijers.
You are an important link within the governance organization. You think actively alongside the director, know what is happening within and outside the organization, and maintain an overview in a dynamic environment. In addition, you work closely with your fellow board secretary and cover for each other where necessary.
In this versatile role, you will be involved in, among other things:
Managing complex calendars and filtering emails, mail, and phone calls.
Preparing meetings, drafting agendas, and managing meeting documents in iBabs.
Organizing meetings and gatherings and monitoring action items and agreements.
Handling correspondence, editing texts, and acting as a critical sounding board for the director.
With your organizational talent, governance sensitivity, and proactive attitude, you ensure that the directors and the Board Secretary are optimally supported and that governance processes run smoothly.
We are Bartiméus. With over 1,900 employees and about 850 volunteers, we are there for people in the Netherlands who are visually impaired or blind. Also if they have a multiple disability or experience problems with seeing due to, for example, non-congenital brain injury. We are there for their loved ones and for the professionals and organizations around them. They can turn to our expertise center, our outpatient services, our schools and residential facilities, and the various forms of day activities we offer. We do everything in our power to make it possible for people with a visual impairment to lead the life that suits them and to develop to their full potential. Because it is not about what percentage you see. It is about what percentage you live. Bartiméus. 100% living.
You are an energetic and professional supporter who loves to arrange, organize, and think ahead. In this governance environment, you maintain an effortless overview, switch easily between different topics, interests, and contacts, and know how to set priorities. You are a strong communicator, service-oriented, and have a good sense of governance relations. Additionally, you work carefully with confidential information and know how to navigate effectively in a politically sensitive environment.
You get energy from optimally supporting directors and, thanks to your proactive attitude, you see work coming before others do. Working in a digitized environment is second nature to you, and you quickly master new systems. Even when many things are happening at once, you maintain calm and overview and ensure that matters run smoothly. With your representative appearance and professional approach, you are a pleasant and reliable sparring partner for directors and colleagues. Additionally, you possess the following:
You have at least an HBO (higher professional education) level of working and thinking, supplemented by five years of relevant work experience.
Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
You have knowledge of automation systems including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint (knowledge of iBabs is a plus).
Experience as a board secretary in healthcare, education, or a public organization is preferred.
An engaging and versatile position in an enthusiastic team.
A permanent contract for 24 hours per week, and the possibility to work 30% hybrid.
Salary appropriate to your experience and education, based on the CAO Gehandicaptenzorg FWG 50 with a maximum of €4,799 gross per month based on a 36-hour work week.
Holiday allowance of 8%, an end-of-year bonus of 8.33% and an attractive flexible benefits system, through which you benefit from tax advantages on the purchase of, among other things, a (lease) bike, sports subscriptions, outings, a museum annual pass, and gift vouchers.
Plenty of development and career growth opportunities in the form of an extensive induction program and an online offering of supporting training from 'GoodHabitz'.
