The role

As a support worker or nurse on the Forensic Psychiatric Ward (FPA), you are the stable foundation for the client. You work together with your colleagues on the treatment and guidance of clients, where the ultimate goal is a safe return to society, step by step. You report on progress, provide advice, and are the first point of contact for the clients.

What you'll do

Providing treatment and guidance to clients with the primary goal of reducing the risk of offending.
Acting as the personal support worker for one or more clients.
Ensuring components of the treatment plan in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and, when necessary, adjusting and evaluating them.
Safeguarding safety and observing group dynamics.
Working within a team to ensure a living environment in which optimal treatment, guidance, and security can take place.
Reporting on progress and providing advice.

Requirements

Completed MBO or HBO education in healthcare (such as Social Care, Social

Work or Nursing);

Experience in, for example, mental healthcare (GGZ), forensic psychiatry, disability care, the hospital,

or youth care;

Willingness to work irregular shifts and to follow the BHV (Emergency Response) course;
You are result-oriented, enjoy working in a team, and are resilient.

Salary depending on experience according to CAO GGZ:
MBO: FWG 45 between €3180,- and €4273,- gross per month at 36 hours
HBO: FWG 50 between €3560,- and €4716,- gross per month at 36 hours
Irregular shifts, for which you receive an attractive irregular hours allowance (ORT) according to CAO GGZ.

About the company & team

You will be working at the FPA, a collaboration with De Rooyse Wissel. The FPA is a closed ward at security level 2 with a lot of structure and intensive guidance and treatment. If everything goes according to plan, clients can transition in a subsequent phase to the FTU, another psychiatric ward, protected living, or to their own home.

The FPA houses 15 clients, both men and women, with complex behavioral issues and a mental disorder and/or (mild) intellectual disability and with a judicial sentence or measure, where demonstrably increased risky behavior is present if forensic guidance is absent.
