What you'll get
We offer an educational internship in which you can optimally develop yourself, both personally and professionally. You will do your internship in a beautiful working environment with an informal and collegial atmosphere, with a team that stands for the target group.
The CAO Jeugdzorg (Youth Care Collective Labour Agreement) applies. Each intern receives an internship allowance of €400 per month (based on 32 hours per week);
Guidance by a permanent supervisor within the team;
A clear and methodical concept from which guidance and leadership are provided;
Internship period starting from February 2027 for at least 10 months.
The role
Are you looking for an internship where no two days are the same? At our residential location in Veenendaal, you will get the chance to gain practical experience within youth care. You will work together with experienced colleagues, get to know the young people well, and discover how you can support them in their development, independence, and future plans.
What you'll do
During your internship at the Ghandistraat, you will support the daily guidance of young people, both individually and in a group setting. You will actively contribute to building a pedagogical and safe living environment. Additionally, you will assist in drafting work plans, observations, and reports, participate in meetings and reflection moments, and think along about the range of activities and the daily structure. You will gain insight into system-oriented working and solution-oriented guidance, and learn to act professionally in situations that require independence and initiative.
Requirements
You are someone who stands firm in your shoes and knows how to approach young people with an open attitude. You show initiative, can work independently, and dare to take responsibility. At the same time, you are eager to learn, reflective, and know how to collaborate well within a team. You have an eye for the group process as well as for the individual, and know how to create a safe and supportive atmosphere in which young people can develop.
In addition, we ask for the following:
You are a third- or fourth-year mbo4 or hbo student in a relevant field of study (for example, personal guide for specific target groups, social work, or pedagogy);
You are at least 21 years old due to the complexity of the target group.
Because a number of young people at this location attend education in the region, our preference goes to interns who are not affiliated with mbo programs in Veenendaal or Ede. This allows us to guarantee a safe and professional environment for everyone involved.

About VIGO
In their own words
About the company & team
Together with Karakter, Pactum has started a new small-scale, family-oriented residential location in Veenendaal for young people aged 15 to 23 who are temporarily unable to live at home. The facility offers guidance in a homely atmosphere, where treatments are handled by Karakter or another involved party. The focus lies on providing help close to parents and the social network, with the goal of allowing the young people to return home or move towards independence. Unique to this location is that young people do not have to leave as soon as they turn 18, but only take the next step when they are truly ready, so that they have a stable foundation for their future.
