At least 2 years of relevant work experience on a (preferably complex) nursing ward.
You work according to protocols and have an eye for patient safety.
You remain calm and sharp in a dynamic environment.
You are eager to learn, reflect on your actions, and are open to feedback.
You communicate clearly and enjoy working together with colleagues.
You have sincere attention for patients and their loved ones.
You can work well independently, but you also thrive in a multidisciplinary context.
Good planning skills are a plus for successfully completing your training.
A completed nursing education (level 4 or 5), demonstrable HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level, and a valid BIG registration.
You will start with us as an IC nurse in training. In this role, you combine working on the ward with learning in practice. You will develop step by step in providing intensive care to patients with complex care needs. In cases of acute admissions and resuscitations, acting quickly and adequately is essential. Good communication and taking charge are crucial. Additionally, you play an important role in the psychosocial support of patients and their loved ones, both during admission and in aftercare. Integrity and empathy are indispensable in this regard.
During the training, you will learn to increasingly better set priorities, recognize signals, and translate them into appropriate action. In doing so, you will work closely with IC nurses, intensivists, and other disciplines. Due to the short lines of communication on the ward, you will be given the space to think actively along and grow quickly.
Throughout the entire process, you will receive intensive guidance from experienced colleagues. They will support you in your development, provide you with feedback, and ensure a safe learning environment in which you can practice, ask questions, and build confidence.
We expect you to actively contribute to the quality level of our ward. Join our team and make the difference!
About the training
The training consists of two parts: Basic Acute Care and the IC specialization. You will build your knowledge and skills in phases: as you progress, the care and procedures become more complex and your independence grows along with them.
After a 2-month preparatory period, you will start the training in April 2027. This training has a duration of approximately eighteen months, during which you will be trained according to the EPA structure of CZO Flex level. The theory of your training is provided by Expert College Nightingale Instituut in Amstelveen. You will work a minimum of 28, but preferably 32 - 36 hours per week, during which you will be deployed in all occurring shifts as you progress through the training.
About the ward
You will be working on a modern IC ward with a capacity of 10 beds, of which 7 are operational beds. All specialties, with the exception of pediatric, cardio, and neurosurgery, are represented within the ward. As an IC nurse (in training), you will work in a pleasant atmosphere in very close collaboration with the IC nurses, physicians, and other involved disciplines.
A contract for the duration of the training for 28, 32, or 36 hours per week.
After your graduation, the intention is to offer you a contract for an indefinite period if there is capacity in the workforce.
An IC training at NLFQ6 level and a CZO accredited diploma.
Guidance by 2 permanent work supervisors and our practical trainer.
External internships in the ER, anesthesia, and CCU.
During the training, the salary is classified according to scale 50 (FWG 3.0) and amounts to a minimum of € 3,463,- and a maximum of € 4,914,- per month based on 36 hours.
In addition, you will receive an 8.33% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 8.33%.
You build up a pension with Pensioenfonds Zorg & Welzijn. Additionally, we offer interesting extras, including company fitness and the MKA (More Choice Employment Conditions) scheme.
