The role

Within Continued Treatment team 1 (VB1) of Vincent van Gogh, we are looking for a new colleague, Nurse or personal supervisor level 4, with a strong affinity and/or experience in psychiatry.

Where you will work

The team is prepared for the crisis function for the Vincent Integral Care cluster. This means that there are 2 separation rooms and 2 isolation rooms present within our building. In short, a challenging working environment!

Within this 24-hour treatment, you will only work day, weekend, and evening shifts. You will have no night shifts, as our night care team provides these.

Together with a multidisciplinary team, you will search for what someone with a psychiatric disorder truly needs. The wishes, needs, and the request for help are investigated and compiled into a care and living plan. The treatment method stems from the Triple-C methodology, in which normal life is central.

You will come to work in a well-coordinated team, consisting of a team leader, care coordinators, nurses, supervisors, and care assistants. Additionally, you will work together with various disciplines, including a psychiatrist, nurse practitioner, behavioral experts, general practitioner, physiotherapist, psychomotor therapist (PMT), and dietitian. This multidisciplinary collaboration contributes to complete and client-centered care. Furthermore, a good sense of group, humor, conviviality, and safety are central within our team.

Together with your team, you stand ready for the clients to allow them to lead as normal a life as possible.

Requirements

  • You have completed an education as a nurse level 4 (BIG registered) or personal counselor / pedagogical worker level 4.

  • As a nurse, you are authorized to administer depot injections and provide medication;

  • As a personal counselor, we offer the possibility to follow an internal course so that you may provide medication;

  • You have experience with clients with psychiatric disorders and are resilient;

  • Experience in mental healthcare / psychiatry is a plus;

  • Your observational skills and good communication skills ensure that you can act in unforeseen situations and work from a standpoint of early prevention;

  • You are transparent and flexible and an addition to our team;

  • You enjoy working together in a multidisciplinary team. With good communication skills and a positive attitude, you are an excellent connector. This comes in handy in the close cooperation with clients and colleagues from within and outside our organization.

  • To be eligible for this position, a positive Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is required.

  • Checking references and verifying diplomas are part of the application procedure.
