The role

As a nurse at GGZ inGeest, you always work together. You do this at one of our clinics. Play an important role within the treatment team. Observe and signal changes and contribute to a safe and supportive environment. Together, we make the difference for our clients.

Appropriate care for clients

  • Vervolgkliniek Westerpoort in Bennebroek offers (long-term) treatment to 87 clients with a Severe Psychiatric Disorder (SPD) spread across 4 teams. There are 3 open wards, including 1 ward with 27 HAT homes (apartments). Additionally, there is a (new) closed ward.

  • At Westerpoort, we take the time that is necessary, sometimes several months, to promote recovery. We do not focus solely on symptoms, but pay attention to the person behind them and his or her network. Building a relationship of trust and intensive contact with the client and their loved ones is central. Our quiet, green environment contributes to a sense of safety and well-being.

  • Various recovery facilities such as sports, activities, day programs, treatment, spiritual care, and employment support the recovery process. We work towards an appropriate and as high as possible achievable discharge, such as independent living or protected/sheltered living.

A suitable working environment for you

  • On the closed ward, care is provided to 20 clients who require (temporary) closed admission as part of their recovery process.

  • As a nurse on the closed ward, you will be involved from the start in a new and innovative department within a growing clinic.

  • With your expertise, as a Nurse III, you coordinate the care of a number of clients in the role of personal counselor. You are the linchpin in the client's trajectory.

  • You provide guidance to clients, observe their physical and mental health status, and identify changes. In crisis situations, you act quickly and provide support with appropriate interventions.

  • Important here is that you coordinate care in close consultation with the treatment team, the client, and their loved ones. At GGZ inGeest, we strive to enable clients to participate in society according to their abilities. As a nurse, you contribute to this by actively working on their self-reliance.

  • Based on your knowledge, you contribute to the treatment policy of the department. You do this not only but also within a multidisciplinary team.

  • This multidisciplinary team consists of activity coordinators, a physician assistant, psychiatrists, doctors, (GZ)-psychologists, dietitian, coordinating nurse/counselor, cognitive behavioral therapy staff, movement educator, physiotherapist, spiritual caregiver, general practitioner, social worker, personal counselor, and trajectory coordinators.

  • Additionally, you play an essential role by providing consultation and advice to colleagues regarding complex cases. You think proactively about new treatment strategies on the ward.

  • Drafting, implementing, evaluating, and adjusting guidance plans and treatment plans also belongs to your set of tasks.

  • Furthermore, you fulfill an active role in the guidance of other team members, such as interns and students, to ensure a high level of care. And you participate in various working groups.

Also important

  • You have completed an MBO or HBO nursing education.

  • You will receive a permanent employment contract immediately.

  • The position is scaled in FWG 45/50 CAO GGZ.
