A university-level (WO) education in nursing sciences
Affinity with coordinating and conducting research - experience is a plus, but not a requirement: even as a recent graduate in nursing sciences, we cordially invite you to apply
You naturally take the initiative to start research and have a good sense of which parties you must involve to achieve qualitative and efficient research. You work independently and dare to persevere.
Strong communication skills: orally to find collaboration partners and transfer knowledge, and in writing in Dutch and English for publications and reports
An analytical, systematic way of working and an eye for detail
Representativeness in internal and external contacts and integrity as a matter of course
You take on a role model and leadership role within the nursing domain
This position is classified in scale 60 of the CAO Ziekenhuizen: a salary between € 4,246 and € 6,220 gross per month (based on 36 hours), depending on education and experience. On top of that, you receive a 13th month: 8.33% extra salary, simply accrued every month and paid out in December.
You will start with a one-year contract, with the intention to convert this into a permanent employment contract thereafter. In this way, you build towards a future at St Jansdal from day one.
As a nurse, you, just like your colleagues, participate in irregular shifts; due to the size of your contract, this will be scheduled pro rata. For this, you receive an irregularity allowance (ORT) on top of your salary.
The rest of the basics are also simply in order at St Jansdal: a 36-hour work week, holiday allowance, and travel expenses reimbursement according to the CAO Ziekenhuizen. Through the Flexible Benefits System (MKA), you can add extras yourself: think of a bicycle plan, sports opportunities, extra vacation days, or discounts on collective insurance.
And at least as importantly: room to grow. Via the St Jansdal Academy, personal development discussions, and growth opportunities across departments and specializations. From starter to senior, at your own pace; you don't stay here because you are stuck, but because you continue to develop.
Extraordinary work. Simply at St Jansdal.
Do you recognize yourself in this? Then we would love to talk to you. Apply directly or contact Nienke Liefers for more information; her email address is h.liefers@stjansdal.nl. For general information, you can contact the recruiter, Karsten Bos.
We are looking for reinforcement starting January 1, 2027, so we look forward to receiving your application soon. You can address this to the head of the clinic, Pieter Immerzeel.
Research that you see reflected at the bedside immediately. That is how it works at St Jansdal. As a nursing researcher, you bring science and patient care together, with one clear goal: to noticeably improve the quality of nursing care. You set up research, translate the outcomes into daily practice, and remain, simply, a nurse. Not in an ivory tower, but in the middle of the clinic, with short lines to colleagues and the head of the clinic.
Coming home in healthcare means this here: a place where your research truly matters, and where you are given the space to shape it independently.
You will fill this position as a mix of 16 hours of research and 16 hours of patient care per week, with the possibility of expanding the latter to 20 hours. We are open to candidates from all nursing specialties; your affinity with research carries more weight than the specialty in which you are currently working.
You acquire and lead nursing-relevant research projects and grants, and ensure that the outcomes find their way into daily care. Specifically:
Identifying and initiating research opportunities from nursing practice
Developing research proposals, budgets, and grant applications, and conducting discussions with collaboration partners.
Directing and coordinating research trajectories: planning, budget, progress, and quality
Guiding (lead) nurses and nurse specialists (in training) in research and innovation
Conducting research yourself: literature research, data collection, analysis, and reporting
Publishing and presenting results, and advising colleagues, management, and policy
Professionalizing nursing care and strengthening an evidence-based practice culture within the clinic
In addition, as a nurse, you continue to provide integral and person-centered care: from care plan to handover, always with an eye for the patient and their loved ones. That work on the floor is also immediate input for your own research - you test ideas directly against practice, you remain easily approachable for colleagues, and you are a role model for (trainee) colleagues
St Jansdal is the beating healthcare heart of the region: 18 outpatient clinics, a full acute and clinical offering, and new construction featuring a new clinic, dialysis center, and hospice care unit. You work in a house where you know the people around you, where colleagues address each other by their first names, and where managers are simply to be found on the work floor.
Our locations are situated in the Veluwe and in Flevoland, with beaches, nature, and cities nearby. It is no wonder that many colleagues here not only work, but also consciously live and reside.
