The role
No more moving, but a place where you are allowed to stay. Together with Karakter, Pactum makes this wish possible at the Small-scale Living Biotstraat group in Nijmegen. Here, we offer young people aged 12 to 23 with autism and multiple behavioral problems a stable place to live where they can grow up in a homely and trusted environment.
As a supervisor, you provide young people with the peace, safety, and support they need. You help them build confidence step by step, ensure they feel seen and heard, and contribute to their development and future prospects.
Together with your colleagues, you create a predictable living environment in which safety, stability, and growth are central. In this way, you give young people the chance to develop at their own pace in an environment where they feel at home.
Do you want to make a difference here? Then apply today. We would love to meet you!
What you'll do
You work in a specialized living form in which customization, safety, and continuity are central. These young people have often already experienced many changes in care. Together with your team, you ensure that this goes differently. You do this by:
Bundling expertise from youth care and mental healthcare (GGZ) and working in a small, stable living environment;
Offering customization so that young people can handle everyday life and giving them as much autonomy as possible;
Actively collaborating with parents and the network, including the possibility for parents to stay overnight;
Offering unconditional guidance and ensuring continuity in daily care.

About VIGO
In their own words
About the company & team
You work at a small-scale, stable residential location in Nijmegen where, together with passionate colleagues, you provide a safe foundation. You work in a system-oriented and solution-oriented manner and always look for what is possible. In their daily lives, you guide young people step by step, from a practical, active, and down-to-earth attitude.
You are part of a multidisciplinary team that looks at the total system surrounding the young person: school, parents, network, and neighborhood. There is room to reflect, to learn, and to keep each other sharp. Experience with psychiatric problems helps with this, but above all, your willingness to continue investigating what these young people need.
"Helping young people on their way to adulthood often lies in small things. Taking the neighborhood into account, for example. Learning that happens through trial and error. It doesn't always have to (and cannot always) go well, and all emotions are allowed to be there. It is important to let young people experience what consequences are and to guide them in dealing with those consequences." Rob, colleague at the small-scale living group in Nijmegen.
