The role
Are you looking for an educational and dynamic internship in youth care? At Cultureel Werk and Pactum, you will get the chance to guide young people and develop yourself in an inspiring environment. Discover how your commitment makes a difference in the lives of young people, every single day!
Your internship, your development
During your internship as a youth care worker at Cultureel Werk, you will get the chance to guide young people in their personal development and to grow yourself within the field of youth care. You will learn how to devise and organize activities that align with the interests of young people - from sports and music to art, dance, and clubs. You will discover how you can motivate and support young people in an environment full of possibilities, in which they as well as you can develop yourselves.
A special learning point is the annual bivak: an intensive and valuable experience in which you live an unforgettable time together with the young people. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, contribute ideas for improvements in the approach, and learn how you play a connecting role between young people, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
At Cultureel Werk, you will learn to work from an open and low-threshold approach. You will develop skills to create a safe environment in which young people feel seen and heard. You will become acquainted with the "one child, one plan" principle and learn how to offer customized care that aligns with the needs and goals of young people. In this way, you contribute to their growth as well as to your professional development.
Requirements
As an intern in youth care, you possess an open attitude and empathy. You listen well, show sincere interest in young people, and know how to build trust. You are flexible, curious, and eager to learn: you ask questions, are open to feedback, and seize opportunities to grow. You enjoy working together, but also take initiative independently. With your communication skills, you make contact with young people, colleagues, and other stakeholders in a respectful manner. Additionally, it is important that:
At the start of the internship, you are in the 3rd or 4th year of an mbo4 program (social worker, community care);
Or you are starting the 3rd or 4th year of an hbo program (e.g., Pedagogy, Social Work, applied psychology, or similar);
At the start of the internship, you are at least 20 years old, given the intensity of the work and the age of the young people.
What we offer
We offer an educational internship in which you can optimally develop yourself, both personally and professionally. You will do your internship in a beautiful working environment with an informal and collegial atmosphere, with a team that stands for the target group.
The CAO Jeugdzorg applies. Every intern receives an internship allowance of €625 per month (based on 32 hours per week);
Guidance by a permanent supervisor within the team;
A clear and methodical concept from which guidance and leadership are provided;
Internship period starting from February 2027 for at least 10 months.
