The role

As a Social Psychiatric Nurse within the IHT and the crisis service, no two days are the same. You truly make a difference at the moments when it matters most. You work in a close-knit team, with plenty of variety and direct impact on the lives of people in psychological distress.

As a Social Psychiatric Nurse (SPV) within Intensive Home Treatment (IHT) Venlo, you play an important role in providing specialist care to patients who are in or at risk of a psychiatric crisis. You work closely within a multidisciplinary team to assess and stabilize crises and support recovery, based on the principle that patients should be treated in their own environment as much as possible, with as much preservation of their own autonomy as possible.

Working at IHT/crisis service

Within IHT Venlo, you work in a dedicated and expert team that commits itself daily to providing the right support to patients in a psychiatric crisis. Our strength lies in the combination of craftsmanship, collaboration, and the conviction that recovery takes its best form in the patient's own living environment. Together, we ensure that patients, where possible, can remain at home and receive the intensive treatment they need.

This is what we ask of you

You are someone who stands firm in your shoes, can switch gears quickly, and can handle unexpected situations well. You are empathetic, decisive, and know how to maintain calm during moments of crisis. You enjoy working independently, but also as part of a team.

Additionally:

  • Do you have a (nearly) completed education as a Social Psychiatric Nurse;

  • Are you BIG-registered and do you possess an AGB code with the SPV qualification;

  • Do you have an affinity with acute psychiatry and crisis care;

  • Do you possess knowledge of psychopathology, crisis management, and treatment techniques;

  • Can you make decisions quickly and independently in acute situations;

  • Are you a strong communicator, both orally and in writing;

  • Are you willing to work evening, night, and weekend shifts;

  • And do you possess a B driver's license.

A positive Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is required for this position. Checking references and verifying diplomas are part of the application procedure.

How we put you first

  • Scaling in accordance with CAO GGZ FWG 60. The salary amounts to a minimum of €4544 and a maximum of €5901 for a full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience.

  • A contract for 24 - 36 hours per week.
