About VIGO
In their own words
About the company & team
You will be working in a team where a good sense of group cohesion, autonomy, warmth, and safety are important. Together with your team, you stand ready for clients so that they can lead as normal a life as possible at Woonvoorziening Venray.
Woonvoorziening Venray consists of five single-family homes with a maximum of four clients per home. The resident group is very diverse, both in terms of age and disability. It concerns clients with a mental disorder, sometimes in combination with a mild intellectual disability.
The five homes of Woonvoorziening Venray are all located in the same street in the neighborhood, just outside the Vincent van Gogh grounds. Most clients can postpone requests for help until the planned counseling moments, but if that unexpectedly does not work, they can contact the residential group via telephone. The office, from which the team works, is located at one of the homes where clients reside who require a bit more proximity. Clients can therefore go there themselves when they need help.
Within this 24-hour guidance, you only work day, weekend, and evening shifts. You do not have night shifts because our night care team provides these.
Together with a team consisting of a team leader, care coordinator, nurses, counselors, assistants, practitioners, and support services, you will search for what someone with a mental disability truly needs. A client's wish and need are often hidden beneath their behavior or the initial request for help. Your team works towards a Triple-C treatment climate. In your work, ordinary life is central.
From a positive perspective and looking at possibilities, you work together with the client toward a pleasant existence with as much self-direction as possible. You offer the client a safe haven, whereby your guidance is close by and they are resilient while living together in a small group. To this end, you hold conversations with clients about various topics, including their physical and mental functioning and well-being. You also support the client in ADL (activities of daily living), preparing meals, maintaining their room, and you stimulate their participation in daily activities and treatment.
