The role

This is what you will do:

As a Care & Welfare Assistant, you provide personal care and support to clients and residents. You assist with washing and showering, dressing and undressing, eating and drinking, and other daily care tasks. In doing so, you look at what someone can and wants to do themselves and stimulate independence wherever possible.

In Hoek van Holland, you can work in clients' homes as well as in our nursing home. This allows you to combine the independence of community care with working in a fixed team. Would you prefer working alone in the community or in the nursing home? That is also open for discussion.

You pay attention to the person behind the care needs. You make time for a chat, signal changes in the well-being of clients and residents, and discuss specifics with your colleagues. You contribute to a pleasant, safe, and trusted environment and have an eye for what someone needs.

You work together with colleagues and other involved parties and take responsibility for the care and support you provide. No two days are the same: in the community, you visit various clients at home, while in the nursing home, you work with residents whom you get to know better and better.

This will be your workplace:

Your work area is Hoek van Holland. Stichting Humanitas offers both community care and nursing home care here. You will deal with various care needs, including somatic and psychogeriatric issues and dementia.

In the community, you support clients to live at home independently and comfortably for as long as possible. You work independently, have freedom during your route, and visit various clients at home.

In the Bertus Bliekhuis nursing home, you offer care and support in the familiar living environment of the residents. You work closely with colleagues and are part of a dedicated team.

With us:

  • you can combine community care and nursing home care;

  • working in only one of the two is also open for discussion;

  • you work with various care needs and target groups;

  • you are given room for independence and responsibility;

  • you work together with dedicated colleagues and other disciplines;

  • the lines between teams are short and colleagues help each other;

  • you contribute to well-being, personal attention, and a homely atmosphere;

  • you can develop yourself and grow within Humanitas;

  • you can use a bicycle or company car for community routes.

This is you:

You have a heart for care and find it important that clients and residents feel seen, heard, and safe. You look beyond daily care and pay attention to the person behind the care needs.

You are independent, involved, and flexible, and can easily switch between different clients, residents, and situations. You work carefully, honor agreements, and take responsibility for the care you provide.

You communicate easily with clients, residents, relatives, and colleagues, and know when you must signal and discuss specifics. You think in solutions and look at what is possible.

Sometimes good care requires looking at things just a little differently. Are you someone who looks at possibilities rather than just rules? Then you will fit in well at Stichting Humanitas.

Furthermore:

  • you have a Care & Welfare Assistant level 2 diploma;

  • you can work independently and take responsibility;

  • you honor agreements.

This is what you will receive from us:

At Stichting Humanitas, we believe it is important that you can do your work with pleasure and confidence. Therefore, you can count on good employment conditions and the space to continue developing yourself:

  • a salary according to CAO VVT, FWG 25: € 16.61 to € 20.66 gross per hour, up to a maximum of €3,124.01 gross per month based on 36 hours;

  • 8% holiday allowance and 8.33% end-of-year bonus;

  • Pension via Zorg en Welzijn;

  • Training and career advancement opportunities;

  • Bicycle plan, also for an e-bike;

  • Contract between 16 and 32 hours;

  • Day, evening, and night shifts.
