What we're looking for

  • You are a 3rd or 4th-year Social Work student

  • You have an affinity with psychiatric care and recovery support

  • You can work well independently and are proactive

  • You possess good communication skills and can listen well to the needs of clients

  • You are able to work with clients with diverse issues, such as addiction, psychiatry, and psychosocial problems

  • You work well in a team and have an eye for collaboration with other disciplines

The role

Are you a 3rd or 4th-year Social Work student looking for a challenging internship within psychiatric care? At Vincent van Gogh voor GGZ, you will get the chance to gain experience within the Protected Living Team, where you support clients in their recovery process and personal development within a treatment setting.

What you'll do

  • Guiding clients in their daily lives, focused on the client's recovery and independence

  • Providing tailored emotional, practical, and social support

  • Actively contributing to the drafting and implementation of care and treatment plans in collaboration with the team

  • Conducting conversations with clients about personal and psychological matters, with an eye for their wishes and needs

  • Working within a multidisciplinary team and contributing to creating a safe and supportive environment

  • Supporting daily activities such as performing administrative tasks, housework, and ADL (Activities of Daily Living)
