About VIGO

In their own words

About the company & team

When you have an addiction, you follow a treatment from your own environment whenever possible. However, sometimes this environment does not offer enough guidance or structure. From our outpatient setting, polyclinic, and clinic, the Addiction Care team supports clients with detoxification, stabilization, diagnostics, and treatment. You will be part of an energetic team of professionals in which your expertise is truly valued.

As a basic psychologist, you work in the role of trajectory coordinator. This means that you guide clients throughout their entire treatment trajectory. You conduct intakes, carefully map out requests for help, and contribute ideas for an appropriate treatment plan. Additionally, you monitor the progress of the treatment and maintain contact with involved colleagues and partners. You manage your own caseload and independently take charge within it. You set priorities, take responsibility for the quality of care, and ensure that clients receive the guidance they need. Naturally, you do not do this alone. You can always rely on a lead practitioner, who remains involved and holds ultimate responsibility for the treatment trajectory.

In addition to conducting intakes, you also provide treatments. Motivational interviewing plays an important role here and is an indispensable skill within addiction care. Additionally, you work with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), both individually and in group settings.
