The role
This is what you will do:
You guide and care for clients with addiction and mental health issues, often with a dual diagnosis. You support daily functioning and provide ADL care where necessary. You work closely with doctors, therapists, and colleagues within the multidisciplinary team. No two days are the same: you switch gears quickly, think along, and make a real difference.
Shifts
You work both in rostered shifts on the ward and in personal support services. In this latter role, you have your own caseload, conduct client interviews, develop client plans, and maintain contact with therapists.
Day shift: 07:30 - 16:00
Evening shift: 15:00 - 23:00
Night shift: 22:45 - 07:45
This will be your workplace:
De Skala is a dynamic residential and care facility in Rotterdam-Zuid. Many clients face psychiatric and social issues in addition to their addiction problems, as well as a history of homelessness.
Where much assistance stops, De Skala goes further. Together with colleagues, therapists, and external partners, you work towards safety, stability, and trust. Through assertive care, we actively seek contact with clients who do not always ask for help themselves.
The location is easily accessible by public transport and car. During your break, you can enjoy the terrace with a view of the Rotterdam skyline. There are also pets present.
This is you:
You are involved, decisive, and stand firm in your shoes. You have a relevant healthcare or welfare diploma, such as MMZ, Social Work, Verzorgende IG, or Nursing, and experience with mental health, addiction care, or another complex target group.
Additionally:
Do you have an affinity for psychiatric, psychosocial, and addiction issues;
Can you handle complex behavior and unexpected situations well;
Are you preferably authorized and competent to administer medication, or willing to obtain this via Humanitas;
Are you independent, responsible, and professional;
Are you flexibly deployable for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
This is what you will receive from us:
At Stichting Humanitas, we believe it is important that you can do your work with pleasure and confidence. Therefore, you can count on good employment conditions and the space to continue developing yourself:
A challenging workplace within mental health and addiction care;
An employment contract starting from 24 hours per week;
A salary according to the VVT collective labor agreement, FWG scale 40, 45, or 50 (depending on diploma, experience, and tasks, between € 2,981.98 and € 4,822.50 gross based on 36 hours);
Irregularity allowance;
Attractive extras such as a bicycle plan and collective health insurance;
8% holiday allowance;
An end-of-year bonus of 8.33%;
Pension accrual at Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn;
Plenty of opportunities to develop yourself and grow.
