Requirements

What we're looking for

  • You are BIG-registered as a GZ-psychologist or basic psychologist with a CBT certification and EMDR basic training.

The role

As a GZ-psychologist at GGZ inGeest, you provide clients with structure and care. You guide, observe, and signal changes in their physical and mental state. You do this not alone, but with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, nurses, and caregivers. Within that team, your observations make the difference.

Appropriate care for your clients

  • Vervolgkliniek Westerpoort in Bennebroek offers (long-term) treatment to 87 clients with a Severe Psychiatric Disorder (SPD) spread across 4 teams. There are 3 open wards, including 1 ward with 27 HAT homes (apartments). Additionally, there is a (new) closed ward.

  • At Westerpoort, we take the time that is necessary, sometimes several months, to promote recovery. We do not focus solely on symptoms, but pay attention to the person behind them and his or her network. Building a relationship of trust and intensive contact with the client and their loved ones is central. Our quiet, green environment contributes to a sense of safety and well-being.

  • Various recovery facilities such as sports, activities, day programs, treatment, spiritual care, and employment opportunities support the recovery process. We work towards an appropriate and as high as possible achievable discharge, such as independent living or protected/sheltered living.

A suitable working environment for you

  • As a GZ-psychologist, you hold the role of lead practitioner. You perform intakes, draw up treatment plans, and ensure the implementation of treatment plans within the multidisciplinary teams.

  • In addition, your tasks consist of performing psychodiagnostics; conducting indication interviews; performing psychotherapeutic (group) treatments; and guiding the (nursing) teams with complex cases.  For this, you make indications and inventory the possibilities to combine this treatment with other  treatment interventions. Additionally, you participate in multidisciplinary consultation and contribute from your expertise to the diagnostic and treatment trajectories of the clients.

  • You further develop the existing treatment offerings together with the teams.

  • You offer work guidance and supervision to psychologists in training to become GZ-psychologists. You find it important to support clients in regaining and/or increasing their self-confidence and autonomy. Recovery of social and societal functioning is an important focus for you in this regard.

  • You are focused on collaboration, flexible, and enjoy taking on substantive challenges.

  • At GGZ inGeest, we look at everyone's own strength and talent. We believe that every colleague brings valuable experience, expertise, and creativity, which can further strengthen GGZ inGeest.

  • At GGZ inGeest, you get the space to grow and to continue developing as a professional. That is not only good for you, but also for our clients. They thus receive the best possible care from a multidisciplinary, driven, and innovative team.

Also important

  • The position is scaled in FWG 65 cao ggz.
