What you'll get

Scaling in accordance with CAO GGZ FWG AIOS. The salary amounts to a minimum of € 4234 and a maximum of € 5979 for a 36-hour employment, depending on your knowledge and experience.
A permanent contract for a number of hours per week fitting your situation.

The role

As an AIOS psychiatry, you will get the chance within Vincent van Gogh to gain valuable experience in a versatile environment. We offer internships across the full breadth of the profession: from acute psychiatry to long-term care and from psychotherapy to complex biological treatments. You will receive a solid foundation and the opportunity to delve into what moves you.

"The versatility of both psychiatric and somatic problems makes this an ideal place to gain experience in both psychiatry, somatics, acute, and chronic care. As an AIOS psychiatry, you work within various departments. You receive supervision from multiple medical specialists (depending on the workplace: psychiatrist, geriatrician, neurologist, GP). You carry out investigations and treatment plans regarding psychiatric patients. Additionally, you are the first point of contact for somatic questions, both in regular shifts and in on-call (planned) shifts."

Requirements

You have an affinity with psychiatry and its clients;
You have a flexible attitude and are enthusiastic;
You are eager to learn and possess self-reflection;
You have completed medical studies and are BIG registered as a physician;
To be eligible for this position, a positive Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is required.

About the company & team

As an important player in the mental healthcare (GGZ) field of North Limburg, many disciplines are represented under our roof and interdisciplinary work is practiced. We value a training climate in which trainees are heard, seen, and guided by enthusiastic supervisors who invest in your growth. Not only do we offer opportunities for training to become a psychiatrist, but we also train psychologist-specialists and nurse practitioners. Additionally, AIOS clinical geriatrics also complete internships within our walls, meaning that training and multidisciplinary work are held in high regard. You learn from your colleagues, with your colleagues, and they learn from and with you.

Within your daily range of tasks are all facets of patient care; diagnostics, drafting treatment plans, and implementing them. Together with your supervisor, you will also shape medical leadership, substantive direction, and the management of your team. In doing so, you will come into contact with the Mandatory Mental Healthcare Act (Wet Verplichte GGZ) and learn to relate to the legal frameworks and the challenges they present.
As an AIOS, you also have a fixed day for educational activities, in which you participate proactively within regional and local education. You will receive education, but you will also provide education yourself.

Whether you have a passion for child and adolescent psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, ECT, forensic frameworks, or you simply want to orient yourself broadly - you will be given the space to shape your path in consultation with the trainers. We are continuously looking for colleagues who have an interest in training and who hold curiosity, capacity for reflection, and autonomy as core values.
