This position is on an on-call basis (0-hour contract). Ideal if you are flexible and want to practice your profession in a professional and collegial environment. We offer shifts and you decide for yourself which shifts you sign up for. So you are not tied down anywhere: you maintain control over your schedule. As an operating room assistant at Bergman Clinics in Arnhem, you play a crucial role in the surgical process. Together with a close-knit and professional team, you ensure efficient and safe surgeries that improve the lives of our clients. A challenging and rewarding job! How you can make an impact as an operating room assistant on-call (0 hours)
Assisting, circulating, and instrumenting: You play an important role during procedures
Checking surgical schedule: Assessing required materials and client data.
Preparing OR and equipment: Preparing according to applicable safety standards.
Disposal of materials: Ensuring the correct cleanup of used instruments and materials.
Administration: Registering data in Hix.
As a surgical assistant, you ensure that everything runs smoothly in the operating room (OR). From giving clients a warm welcome to assisting during surgical procedures, you are the connecting factor. With your eye for detail and ability to switch gears quickly, you contribute directly to the top-tier care we provide.
What are you going to do?
In this role, you are responsible for:
Good communication skills to collaborate pleasantly with colleagues.
Speed and precision in your work, even in a dynamic environment.
Experience in orthopedics is a plus, but not a requirement.
Willingness to work 9-hour days (if you indicate you are available), without evening, night, or weekend shifts.

We believe that good care begins with our employees. That is why we take good care of you.
Flexibility! You work on the basis of an on-call contract (0-hours), whereby we coordinate your availability as much as possible with the OR schedule and your own agenda. We can indicate which shifts are available at least 6 weeks in advance! If you wish to know this further in advance, we can also discuss this!
A good salary between €4,043 and €6,058 per month (based on 40 hours, CAO ZKN).
A 10% scarcity allowance on top of your gross monthly salary. You receive this in addition to the salary mentioned above!
Holiday allowance of 8.3% and additionally an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% (if you wish, you can also have this paid out monthly).
Together, this means a total annual income between €61,000 and €93,200 based on 40 hours.
Security for the future, with a good pension scheme (PFZW) and collective health insurance.
Leave (160 hours per year) and PLB hours (72 hours per year) are not accrued, but paid out monthly.
Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer (up to 80 km one way) or full coverage of your public transport travel.
