At Emergency Psychiatry Kennemerland, you are there at the moments when people can no longer manage. You assess acute psychiatric crisis situations, make decisions under pressure, and work together with colleagues to ensure someone regains control of their situation.

• Assessing acute psychiatric crisis situations, always together with a colleague

• Quickly assessing what is needed: stabilizing, scaling up, or conversely preventing admission

• As a triage officer: receiving, analyzing, prioritizing, and coordinating reports

• Intensive collaboration with psychiatrists (on-call), fellow nurses, and chain partners

• Participating in a 24/7 roster (irregular shifts are included)

You work in a varied manner:

• Outreachend of at the location, as a community nurse

• In the control room, as a triage officer and first point of contact for GPs, police, ER, etc.

• You will work predominantly night shifts

No two days are the same. And you are never alone.

• You work in a close-knit and experienced team that knows and supports one another

• Lines are short, decisions are made together

• You see many different types of cases, from severe deregulation to complex social issues
