The role

In your role as a support worker, you are a familiar face and an important point of contact for our residents with vulnerabilities on the autism spectrum. You support them in their daily lives using support plans that you develop together with the coordinating support worker. You are the one who brings these plans to life, by actively thinking along, picking up on signals, and always aligning with what the client needs. You help with practical matters such as daily structure, living, self-care, social contacts, and ensure a safe, clear atmosphere during group moments in which everyone feels at ease. You also keep the necessary administration and reports tidy, so that the support remains transparent and well-coordinated. You work in day, evening, and weekend shifts, but your nights are always free. No day is the same here, but one thing is certain: your work matters.

Your workplace

At a courtyard in Huizen, the Vooronder location offers guidance to 19 clients between the ages of 21 and 53 with a vulnerability in the autism spectrum. Additionally, residents often deal with issues such as addiction, anxiety, depression, or OCD. Vooronder is a sheltered housing location with 19 independent apartments and a team office. The clients live independently, with tailored guidance in various areas of life. We offer structure, peace, and personal attention, so that residents can work towards more independence and personal growth. The team consists of 11 colleagues: coordinating supervisors, residential supervisors, a residential care worker, and an activity coordinator. The atmosphere within the team is open, involved, and informal. Everyone brings their own strengths, and there is plenty of room for collaboration and initiative.
