This job advert was originally written in Dutch.
The role
As a personal counselor, you guide a number of adult clients. Together, you set goals aimed at participating in our society as independently as possible. The questions central to this challenging role are primarily focused on what makes clients happy and what they need to shape their lives with their vulnerabilities.
You play an important role in the coordination of care surrounding clients and communicate extensively with colleagues, external organizations, and the clients' social networks. Additionally, you help support the trainee personal counselors (trainee-PBs) in their learning and development process and contribute to sharing knowledge and experience within the team.
In addition to guidance, you evaluate goals and guidance plans. Within this position, you are engaged in much dialogue, but you also offer practical help where necessary. You know better than anyone how important it is to build a bond of trust and to stand alongside your clients. Your knowledge of the environment, networks, and the careful maintenance of client files is of importance. With a diversity of contacts and tasks, you have a responsible and dynamic job. Your working hours are during the day on weekdays.
Your workplace
You will work at the Veluwemeer location, a protected residential location (largely long-term care within the WLZ) in Amersfoort (Vathorst). The target group of this location consists of 34 adult clients aged 20-80 with various vulnerabilities (autism, borderline, schizophrenia, and addiction) with ever-increasing complex issues, including forensic cases. The clients live in 2 group homes and 21 single-person apartments. The team at this location currently consists of personal and residential counselors, a residential care worker, and the care manager.
