The role
Sometimes a wonderful opportunity comes along. This is one of those opportunities! At Continued Treatment 4, we are looking for several Personal Counselors or Nurses who want to contribute, together with colleagues, to the guidance and treatment of clients with a psychiatric disorder. In doing so, you will start in a team where you get the chance to build a new, stable foundation together with the current team. You will contribute your thoughts to the vision and, together, set a suitable course.
Do you have experience in mental healthcare or, for example, in disability or elderly care, and does working within psychiatry seem like a great next step to you? Then read on quickly and get to know our team!
What you'll do
Daily activities include, among other things, conducting conversations with clients on various topics, with an emphasis on their mental functioning, well-being, and personal development. Additionally, you will guide clients with activities of daily living (ADL) and encourage them to participate in appropriate daytime activities and programs.
At VB4, we work according to the Triple-C methodology. This vision forms the basis of our daily actions. We do not look at limitations, but at possibilities, and align with a meaningful life for the client. As a counselor, you help clients develop their competencies, gain experiences of success, and maintain or regain as much control over their own lives as possible.
We are leading the way within mental healthcare in the implementation of Triple-C and continuously invest in the further development of this methodology. Therefore, we are looking for colleagues who recognize themselves in this vision, want to contribute actively to it, and are open to additional schooling and training within Triple-C.
Clients participate in a day and activity program that aligns with their individual needs, goals, and development opportunities. This program provides structure, supports the daily rhythm, and contributes to recovery, personal growth, and increasing self-reliance. In doing so, they can make use of both internal and external daytime activities.
Requirements
You (preferably) possess a completed education as a Personal Counselor / Agogic Worker (level 4), or a Nursing diploma (with valid BIG registration) is also suitable.
As a Nurse, you are authorized to administer depot medication and provide medication.
Are you a Personal Counselor? Then we offer an internal course so that you become authorized to provide medication.
Experience within mental healthcare is a plus, as is knowledge of both psychiatric and somatic conditions. If you do not have that experience, but the vacancy still appeals to you, we invite you to respond; we would love to have a conversation with you!
You enjoy working together with other disciplines and contribute to a multidisciplinary approach.
You are transparent, flexible, and collegial, making you a valuable addition to our team.
·You believe in the Triple-C vision and want to further develop yourself in this. You are open to schooling and translate the principles of the methodology into the daily guidance of clients.
A positive Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is required for this position.
Checking references and verifying diplomas are part of the application procedure.

In their own words
About the company & team
This department offers intensive guidance and treatment within a closed setting. Clients are admitted here both voluntarily and involuntarily and have various psychiatric conditions, such as schizophrenia and personality disorders. Additionally, there may be comorbid issues, including addiction problems as well as somatic conditions such as diabetes. The treatment is focused on stabilization, recovery, and promoting self-reliance within a safe and structured environment.
A maximum of 21 adults between the ages of 18 and approximately 65 reside on this department. Clients are admitted here following a crisis admission or from a long-term ward to continue their psychiatric treatment. The department has a diverse client population with varying ages, backgrounds, illnesses, and cognitive abilities. A portion of the clients is working towards a less intensive care setting or a return to society. At the same time, there is a group for whom long-term admission is necessary, where the focus lies on stabilizing and maintaining their mental state.
The building features 11 rooms on the ground floor and 10 rooms on the upper floor. The ground floor is intended for clients who require more proximity and intensive guidance. On the upper floor, the rooms are equipped with their own kitchenette, allowing clients to experience more independence and providing the opportunity to develop skills that prepare them for a future living situation elsewhere.
An isolation room is available that can be used for temporary crisis admissions of clients, including residents of the nearby residential facilities on the premises. This room offers a safe environment for clients who require temporary intensive guidance and support.
You will become part of a partly new, partly existing team. For example, a team leader, two care coordinators, nurses, counselors, and care assistants are part of this team. Additionally, you will work together with various disciplines, including a psychiatrist, nurse practitioner, behavioral experts, a general practitioner, a physiotherapist, a psychomotor therapist (PMT), and a dietitian. This multidisciplinary collaboration contributes to complete and client-centered care.
