In your role as a residential support worker, you are a familiar face and a stable factor in the lives of young adults between the ages of 18 and 30. You guide them on their way toward greater independence, keeping an eye on their unique needs and possibilities. Together with the personal support worker, you work on goals that align with various areas of life. You are present at the location daily and offer practical support where needed, from cooking together to creating structure in the day. You identify changes in behavior or well-being and respond to these carefully. You also contribute to reporting and ensure that agreements are met. Everything begins with the bond of trust that you build: you are someone clients can rely on. You work closely with colleagues in a tight-knit team where there is room for consultation, reflection, and development. You get the chance to grow in your profession. What you do matters. Every step forward for a client is partly thanks to you.
