As Quality & Compliance Engineer, you will join a factory that is strongly in development. From the Quality Assurance department, you will work on improving product quality, quality assurance, and the certification of our stone wool products. You will combine data analysis, process improvement, and stakeholder management to ensure that our existing and new products meet customer, market, and certification requirements.

ROCKWOOL in Roermond produces a wide range of stone wool products for construction, industry, greenhouse horticulture, and various specialist applications. Within the Production Support department, Quality Assurance supports both Operations and various business units with expertise in the field of quality assurance, certification, and quality engineering.

You will work closely with production, process technology, laboratories, product management, and external certification bodies.

As Quality & Compliance Engineer, you are responsible for the management of product quality and certification processes.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on product quality and quality performance;
• Identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting structural quality improvements;
• Advising Operations and Product Management on product quality and compliance, including developments in laws and regulations;
• Translating product and certification requirements into clear specifications and production instructions;
• Managing and updating measurement plans and assurance systems;
• Coordinating certification processes and maintaining contacts with certification bodies and notified bodies, including auditing;

You are a critical and analytical professional who sees connections between product, process, and quality. You know how to convert data into insights and feel comfortable in an environment where technology, production, and stakeholders converge.

In addition, you possess:

• HBO or WO level of work and thinking, preferably in a technical direction;
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position within a production or industrial environment;
• Experience with quality management, quality assurance, or product certification;
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of statistical analysis;
• Good communication skills in both Dutch and English;
• Experience with audit management is a plus;
• Affinity with production technology, materials, and quality processes.
