Resumen del Puesto

Why does a deviation occur? Where in the process does something go wrong? And more importantly: how do you prevent the same problem from occurring again?

At Teledyne Adimec, we develop and produce high-performance camera systems for applications where quality, reliability, and precision are not an option, but a requirement. As a Quality Control Engineer, you play an important role in this.

You inspect products, components, and modules and investigate where deviations originate. In doing so, you analyze quality issues in both mechanical and electronic fields, perform root cause analyses, and collaborate with colleagues and suppliers on structural improvements. You do not look for symptoms, but for the source of the problem.

The role

As a Quality Control Engineer, you work at the intersection of quality, production, engineering, and suppliers. You are involved in quality issues from the moment a deviation is identified until the moment the cause is known and appropriate improvement measures have been implemented.

An important part of your work is analyzing deviations in parts, modules, and end products. You assess products, investigate non-conformances (NCRs), and map out the technical cause. In doing so, you make use of quality methodologies, inspection standards, and your own technical insight.

Because Adimec develops the designs itself, you regularly work together with engineers to determine whether a problem arises during production, assembly, or at a supplier. Based on your analyses, suppliers are managed and improvement actions are initiated. Depending on the situation, you will also occasionally visit suppliers to further investigate quality issues.

What will you do?

  • Inspecting incoming parts, modules, and end products.
  • Assessing and analyzing non-conformances (NCRs).
  • Performing root cause analyses on quality problems.
  • Investigating deviations in electronics, PCBs, mechanical parts, and assemblies.
  • Interpreting inspection results according to IPC-A-610 and other quality standards.
  • Collaborating with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to implement structural improvements.
  • Substantiating and communicating quality findings to suppliers.

Requirements

You are someone who loves to understand how something works. When you see a deviation, you want to know why it occurs. You combine technical knowledge with analytical ability and feel comfortable in an environment where quality and technology converge.

You largely recognize yourself in the following:

  • MBO working and thinking level, preferably in a technical direction.
  • Experience within a production, quality, or high-tech environment.
  • Experience with inspecting mechanical and/or electronic products.
  • Experience with quality analyses, inspections, or investigating root causes.
  • Knowledge of electronics, PCB assemblies, and IPC-A-610 is a strong plus.
  • You communicate easily with colleagues from different disciplines and with suppliers.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages.

What can you expect?

In addition to a good salary and attractive employment conditions, you receive:

  • The opportunity to solve substantively complex quality issues.
  • Collaboration with experienced specialists within engineering, operations, and quality.
  • An informal Brabant culture within an international high-tech organization.
  • Plenty of room for your own initiative and professional development.
  • Working on products that belong to the top of the market worldwide.

Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards. We require all employees to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, rules and regulatory orders. Our reputation for honesty, integrity and high ethics is as important to us as our reputation for making innovative sensing solutions.
