What we're looking for

MBO level of work and thinking, preferably in the direction of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechatronics, and you have work experience in the field of quality control;
You are proactive, have a self-starting mindset, and take initiative;
You are a team player with a practical attitude and work accurately;
You can read technical drawings;
You have knowledge of international (NEN/ISO) standards in the field of materials, measurement techniques, and quality standards;
You have digital skills and can work with MS Office and ERP packages.
You possess a forklift/reach truck certificate or are willing to obtain it.
Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.

The role

What you'll do

As a QC Engineer at Vekoma, you will be part of the QESH/QC staff department and will be daily involved in ensuring the quality of our products.

Your activities mainly consist of:

Performing incoming, outgoing, and process controls;
Checking incoming materials, parts, and products for identification, dimensions, and finish, and processing the associated documentation;
Assessing both metal parts (steel, aluminum, and copper alloys) as well as other components, such as roller coaster wheels, drive belts, wooden decking parts, and polyester covers;
Registering and reporting inspection findings and providing feedback on these to the organization;
Identifying deviations and making suggestions for improvement.

The practical part of your duties will take up about 35 percent of your time; the remaining part of the time you will be actively involved in processing and checking the associated documentation.

Work mostly takes place in Vlodrop, but occasionally also on-site at suppliers at home and abroad, in the form of day trips.
