ER Trainee Nurse

Depending on education and experience, the salary is at least € 3,171 and at most € 4,492 gross per month for a full-time appointment. This salary is exclusive of irregular hours allowances, holiday pay, and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% of your gross annual salary.

At MUMC+, we offer you the opportunity to specialize in acute care via the BAZ training (Basic Acute Care training) in the ER, with the possibility to progress to the ER specialist training if suitability is demonstrated.

The ER is a specialized department where approximately 25,000 patients are examined and treated annually. The ER has an extensive range of tasks, with the aim of providing high-quality care to patients with an acute care need, and is divided into two different units that each cater to different types of patients. The 'High care unit' consists of a number of rooms specially equipped for trauma patients and acutely ill patients with an ABCD problem, a plaster room, a CBRN room, and an isolation room.

The 'medium care unit' consists of various treatment rooms for the rest of the patient population. Generally, low- and medium-complexity patients are located here. Besides the regular rooms on this corridor, there is also an ENT room and a children's room that is specially equipped for the care of small children.

Working in the ER is top-level sport. Every workday brings new challenges and requires stress resistance and autonomy. And that is exactly how we want it. In our department, you will receive a lot of responsibility and the tools to carry it.

Within the ER, you work intensively in a close-knit team of doctors, physician assistants, medical assistants, care assistants, and nurses who experience a lot together and stand together during the most intense situations. And when that happens, we know exactly what we can count on from each other. Our bond is strong and special. Just like our work.

This concerns a temporary employment contract for the duration of the training for an average of 28-36 hours per week in accordance with article 2.4.4 of the UMC Collective Labour Agreement (CAO umc). We have possibilities for you between 28 and 36 hours per week. Therefore, part-time work is certainly possible! We will determine the number of contract hours in mutual consultation.
After successful completion of your training, there is a possibility of a fixed-term employment contract for a duration of 1 year in accordance with 2.4.1 of the UMC Collective Labour Agreement (CAO umc). Upon sufficient performance, the fixed-term employment contract will be followed by an indefinite employment contract.

It is expected that you will work irregular shifts during evening, night, and weekend hours and public holidays.
