You make quality better every day!
In this versatile role, quality assurance in the broadest sense of the word is central. You ensure that the radiopharmacy quality system is not only in order, but also aligns well and is continuously improved. You have an active role in monitoring, managing, and further developing the quality of the processes within the department.
You work closely with the radiochemist and the radiopharmacy pharmacist. You are a point of contact for all colleagues in the nuclear medicine team.
Additionally, you are responsible for, among other things, drafting, reviewing, and improving quality documentation, such as procedures, work instructions, reports, quality agreements with internal and external suppliers, and management reviews.
You also keep a sharp eye on the planning and follow-up of important quality activities. Think of maintenance of rooms and equipment and the follow-up of reports. Furthermore, you perform internal and external audits yourself and contribute to a culture in which quality and continuous improvement are a matter of course.
And because quality and daily practice go hand in hand, you also remain actively involved in the profession yourself. A part of your time, you work together in the actual production of radiopharmaceuticals, alongside your colleagues.
Radiation protection diploma (level TMS-VRS-D). Course can be taken internally with completion within the year.
Good command of Outlook, MS Word, and Excel

MUMC+
In our department, you are part of an experienced and ambitious team where interdisciplinary collaboration is central. The imaging department originated from a successful integration of nuclear medicine and radiology. Within MUMC+, you work in a stimulating, innovative environment where collaboration and academic care are central.
The nuclear medicine location has recently been renovated into a modern nuclear medicine facility focused on the future. Nuclear medicine possesses two identical SPECT/CTs, a digital PET/CT, a PET/MRI, a DEXA scanner, and three radionuclide therapy rooms. Additionally, the department has its own radiopharmacy facility, where radiopharmaceuticals are produced primarily for PET diagnostics and radionuclide therapy. New tracers are also developed and implemented here for both clinical care and scientific research.
Radiopharmacy is a specialized field within pharmacy, where knowledge of radiochemistry, physiology, radiation protection, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) comes together. The production of radiopharmaceuticals at a high quality level is made possible by a multidisciplinary team consisting of a clinical radiochemist, a hospital pharmacist, a nuclear medicine physician, a supervising radiation protection expert, a clinical physicist, and a medical imaging and radiation expert.
