As a nurse at De Steenplaat, you will be found in the middle of the team and alongside your colleagues on the work floor. You combine your nursing expertise with involvement in our residents and colleagues. You participate in daily care, stay close to the residents, and simultaneously keep an eye on what is needed on the various floors.
You work across our three floors with both PG and somatics. Even when dealing with residents with psychological vulnerabilities, you know how to find your way. You are curious about the person behind the care needs and, together with colleagues, you look at what a resident needs to receive good, appropriate, and pleasant care.
Within De Steenplaat, you have a true helicopter function. For us, that does not mean watching from a distance. It is precisely by being visible and involved on the work floor that you know what is happening. For example, you help out with care in the morning. In this way, you build a bond with residents, have direct insight into their condition, and remain well-connected to daily practice.
From that involvement, you can zoom out, make connections, and deploy your nursing knowledge and skills. You coach colleagues, think along, and work together on solutions. You help colleagues to further utilize their own expertise and qualities.
Additionally:
Together with the Caregivers IG and Helpers Plus of the three floors, you prepare the doctors' visits.
You coach your colleagues during triage in concerning situations and intervene when necessary.
You think along with nursing and complex care questions.
You work closely with our Medical and Treatment Team.
You share your knowledge and experience with colleagues and stimulate professional development.
You identify where care can be different or better and think along about appropriate solutions.
You contribute to quality improvement, where delivering good care together is always the starting point.
Furthermore, for the next six months, we are working on a pilot regarding our Humanitas model. We are therefore looking for someone who enjoys thinking along, learning, trying things out, and building further together with us.
De Steenplaat is your home base. You work with residents on three floors within PG and somatics and are an important connecting factor between residents, colleagues, and the Medical and Treatment Team.
With us:
You stand in the middle of the residents and colleagues on the work floor.
You participate in daily care and simultaneously maintain an overview of what is happening on the various floors.
You work with residents with different care needs and backgrounds.
You have an eye for residents with dementia as well as for residents with psychological vulnerabilities.
You coach and support colleagues with nursing and complex care issues.
You prepare the doctors' visits together with colleagues.
You coach on triage and act when a situation calls for it.
You work closely with the Medical and Treatment Team.
You get space to contribute your knowledge, experience, and ideas.
You work together with nurses and other care professionals from our sister locations Hofjes Hoogvliet and Terras aan de Maas.
You share knowledge and experience across locations and help each other when necessary.
Within De Steenplaat, we find it important that good care is something you do together. Quality improvement is important, but not an end in itself. It is about looking together at what residents need and what colleagues need to be able to provide that care as well as possible.
That is why we do not only look for the strength of one nurse or one team. We look at the strength of De Steenplaat, Hofjes Hoogvliet, and Terras aan de Maas together.
And that fits how we want to work: not each for themselves, but with each other around our residents.
You are an involved and connecting nurse who likes to stand between residents and colleagues. You enjoy working together, coaching colleagues, and utilizing your nursing expertise, but you are also not afraid to roll up your sleeves yourself.
You can switch well between different situations. You know when you need to step in, when you need to think along, and when you should actually zoom out for a moment to view the bigger picture.
You are someone who:
Likes to be visible and involved on the work floor.
Gets energy from collaborating and coaching.
Dares to utilize nursing knowledge and expertise.
Also likes to participate in daily care themselves.
Can observe well, identify issues, and make connections.
Maintains calm and overview in situations where quick action is required.
Approaches residents with PG, somatic, and psychological vulnerabilities with attention.
Knows how to stimulate colleagues to utilize their own qualities and expertise.
Likes to share knowledge and is open to the knowledge and experience of others.
Takes initiative and likes to think along about how we can further develop care together.
Dares to be themselves.
We are not looking for a nurse who tries to fit into a certain mold. We are looking for you. With your personality, talents, experience, and ideas.
Because it is precisely by seeing and utilizing everyone's qualities that we make a difference together.
Good care requires knowledge, experience, and craftsmanship. But at least as important is that you know how to find each other, listen to each other, and take responsibility together.
Are you someone who likes to seek connection and wants to build together with us? Then you fit well at De Steenplaat.
At Stichting Humanitas, we think it's important that you can do your work with pleasure and confidence. That's why you can count on good employment conditions as well as the space to develop yourself and put your qualities to use:

From 'you' we make 'us'.
