Production Controller

As a Production Controller, you ensure that the care provided within MUMC+ is recorded and billed accurately, timely, and completely. With your knowledge of care registration, DBC/DOT, and hospital financing, you contribute to reliable registration and healthy business operations.

What are you going to do?
You check and analyze DBCs and procedures and investigate whether all care provided is correctly recorded. You translate national laws and regulations into clear and workable registration agreements within MUMC+. You look beyond just checking. You map out registration processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements. Together with medical specialists, the Healthcare Administration, and functional administrators, you investigate how processes and the setup in Epic can be smarter and more efficient.
Additionally, you develop clear registration agreements and practical work instructions, and you advise and train healthcare professionals on correct care registration. You are an expert point of contact for colleagues and healthcare professionals and provide relevant management information to management. You also safeguard the AO/IC processes within Horizontal Supervision and contribute to the optimization of lawful revenues.

In this role, you are not just busy checking whether registrations are correct. Rather, the structural improvement of the process behind it is central.
With your specialist knowledge, analytical eye, and sense of collaboration, you ensure that registration processes become simpler, more uniform, and more reliable. In doing so, you contribute to correct billing and healthy business operations, but also to a way of working in which healthcare professionals experience minimal administrative burden.

The goal is clear: register care as much as possible correctly at the source in one go.

To be able to perform this position well, we are looking for enthusiastic candidates who possess the following knowledge and skills.

• You have proven advisory skills: you know how to convince management with clear analyses and smart solutions

• You train and guide process owners and have an eye for improvement in business operations.

• You possess HBO/WO (higher professional/university) working and thinking levels and have experience with source registration.

• You have an affinity with Finance and ICT and know how to connect these disciplines with care processes.

• You have knowledge of DBC/DOT registration and experience with hospital information systems.

• You are analytically strong and know how to optimally use Excel for your analyses.

• You are a true team player with a flexible, service-oriented, and solution-oriented attitude.

For this position, you must be able to provide a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) before the start of employment.

To start successfully in this role, it is important that you have a good command of the Dutch language (minimum B2 level) due to contact with, among others, patients and colleagues. Additionally, it is a requirement that you are permitted to work in the Netherlands (EU/EEA nationality or a valid work permit).

This concerns an employment contract of 1 year for an average of 36 hours per week in accordance with article 2.4.2 Cao umc, being a temporary contract pending an employment contract for an indefinite period as referred to in paragraph 3 of article 2.3 Cao umc.
