Your role as a First Aid Nurse
Airport Medical Services (this company is a part of KLM Health Services) is located in the heart of Schiphol airport. We do this with a team of nurses, doctors, pharmacy assistants, ambulance personnel, and staff members.
As a First Aid Nurse at Schiphol, you have a varied and special job where work is performed 24/7 in irregular shifts. You see many different patients and cases: from general practitioner care to complex acute care. Because of this, you continue to develop yourself and learn something new every day.
In this position, you quickly and carefully map out the patient's care needs. You consult with the doctor and record the treatment in the patient registration system. During evening, night, and weekend shifts, you also handle the administrative processing of medical transport and support our own pharmacy.
Additionally, you ensure that aircraft on the platform have medical facilities on board for emergencies during the flight. You can also be deployed during emergencies at Schiphol airport. Together with the doctor on duty, you also provide medical backup for offshore companies and airlines.

Your profile
- You are a BIG-registered, HBO-V, MBO-4 or Inservice-A trained nurse;
- You have at least 5 years of work experience in healthcare, preferably within a hospital (experience in the ER or within another specialization is a plus, but not a requirement);
