Work Preparer

• MBO level 4 in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field
• You are hands-on and pragmatic, you understand how things work, and you think in solutions
• Experience in a technical workshop or production environment is a plus, but not a hard requirement
• Knowledge of safety regulations and requirements
• Affinity with ERP systems; willingness to master this quickly
• In possession of VCA Basis, or willing to obtain this
• Good command of the Dutch language

• Practical knowledge of assembly and/or welding (MIG/MAG and/or TIG) is an advantage

Industrial Installations & High-Temperature Processes

You are an experienced Production Planner with a strong interest in industrial installations and technical custom solutions. You enjoy thinking along about how installations and components can best be prepared, assembled, and built. In doing so, you combine technical insight with a practical attitude: you stay close to the workshop and also actively assist in execution where necessary.

As a Production Planner, you ensure that projects are realized efficiently, safely, and on time. Based on engineering drawings and project information, you determine what is needed, organize procurement, and direct the construction process in the workshop. You are co-responsible for the progress and the results of the projects.

• Drafting a project plan including an approach plan, risk assessment, and communication lines
• Interpreting technical drawings and translating them into concrete work packages
• Organizing a kick-off with all involved team members for every new project
• Monitoring the agreed frameworks for time, quality, and budget
• Determining and arranging the procurement of materials and components
• Coordinating with suppliers and potentially outsourcing activities
• Managing the (physical and administrative) inventory and ensuring timely availability
• Bundling orders where possible
• Planning and monitoring progress, quality, and delivery times
• Directing and coaching colleagues in the workshop (working foreman)
• Working with and managing the ERP system as a superuser
• Assisting with the assembly and (having) welded steel and stainless steel constructions (MIG/MAG and/or TIG)
• Continuously working on improving the production process (communication, working methods, checklists)
• Organizing and reporting quality controls
• Organizing commissioning
• Conducting customer and project team evaluations upon every project completion
• Maintaining a complete and up-to-date project file
• Occasional support for activities on-site at customer locations
• Thinking along about improvements in working methods, manufacturability, and efficiency
• Informing management and team members during the weekly planning meeting

The work takes place mainly in the workshop in Nieuw-Vennep, with occasional deployment on-site at the customer. Because IIS is a compact organization, you have a broad role and will also come into contact with electrical engineering and control technology.
