Veolia Gebouwenbeheer has a national project office that supports multiple branches with smaller utility and sustainability projects and is also nationally active in larger utility and sustainability projects.

To expand the team, we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineering (WTB) Work Preparer who, together with the project team and the project leader, is responsible for the preparation and execution of various utility and sustainability projects. You will work on challenging projects throughout the Netherlands, where your technical insight, accuracy, and overview make the difference in every phase of the project. In this role, you combine calculation, work preparation, and project support. You ensure that projects are optimally prepared: from survey and calculation to execution, procurement, and delivery.

• Preparing utility and sustainability projects in close cooperation with the project leader and the project team;

• Drafting and elaborating over-and-under work overviews, including corresponding quotes and calculations;

• Assessing technical documents and investigating the feasibility of projects;

• Preparing procurement contracts, orders, and creating and maintaining schedules;

• Visiting projects on location to maintain a feel for practice and the needs of colleagues;

• Preparing and monitoring progress and costs throughout the duration of the projects;

• Checking drawings;

• Advising the team and the project leader and actively contributing to process optimizations.

The projects vary from a contract sum of up to approximately €3.5 million and have a clear focus on utility construction within the Netherlands.
