Healthcare Assistant (IG) - Community Care in Rotterdam

As a Healthcare Assistant (IG) in Spijkenisse, you will travel independently to clients' homes. You help them to continue living independently and comfortably in their own environment for as long as possible. In doing so, you look beyond just the care requirement and pay attention to the person behind the client.

During your route:

• You provide support with daily care (ADL);

• You administer medication and perform nursing technical procedures;

• You identify changes and take action if necessary;

• You coordinate care around clients and coordinate with colleagues and other healthcare professionals;

• You make time for personal attention and a chat.

You work independently, but you are not alone. Your colleagues are always available for consultation.

You will work in the community nursing division of Stichting Humanitas in Spijkenisse. From our base at Terras aan de Maas, you will travel to clients' homes. Spijkenisse is a versatile district with various neighborhoods, residents, and care needs. In this diverse, innovative, and dynamic district, we work with routes that are as clear and efficient as possible.

You will join a small and close-knit team of community nurses, Healthcare Assistants (IG), and Care Assistants. We know each other, have short lines of communication, and help each other when necessary.

In addition to their care needs, many of our clients have a small social network or extra challenges in daily life. That is why we do not only look at what care someone needs, but especially at the person behind it and what someone is still able to do.

You are independent, involved, and have a sincere interest in the people whose homes you visit. Many of our clients have a small social network or extra challenges in daily life in addition to their care needs. You therefore look beyond just the care you are coming to provide at that moment.

You think in terms of possibilities and are open to developments within healthcare, such as care technology. Sometimes good care requires looking just a little differently. Are you someone who bends the rules and sometimes colors outside the lines? Then you fit well at Humanitas.

Furthermore:

• Do you have a diploma as a Community Nurse (Verzorgende IG);

• Are you authorized and competent in medication and nursing technical procedures;

• Are you available for day and evening shifts and on weekends;

• You can work independently and take responsibility.

• A contract of 0-24 hours per week, in consultation;

• A salary according to the VVT collective labor agreement, FWG 40 due to the coordinating tasks: € 19.05 to € 24.69 gross per hour;

• 8% holiday allowance and 8.33% end-of-year bonus;
