What we're looking for
HBO level of work and thinking and demonstrable experience in a leadership position.
Experience with coaching leadership, team development, and steering on results and processes.
Experience with management information and KPIs and the ability to translate figures into concrete improvements.
You know the world of care and/or welfare and have knowledge of or experience with the social domain and client referral. Knowledge of VVT, relevant laws and regulations, and the Rotterdam social map is important for this position. Do you not yet have this knowledge fully? Then we expect you to acquire this quickly.
Experience with change and improvement processes and strong communication skills. You connect people and interests, create support, and are clear when necessary.
You do not need to be a specialist in care sales or contracting. However, it is important that you can look at the connection between client demand, indication, inflow, and available capacity from a business perspective and that you collaborate easily within the care and welfare chain.
Pay & benefits
What you'll get
A leadership position in which you are not only responsible for daily results, but can also build the team and the further development of Customer Advice. You will be given space to propose improvements, make choices, and further develop the service provision together with colleagues.
A salary according to FWG 55 of the VVT collective labor agreement: minimum € 3,772.15 and maximum € 5,413.38 gross per month based on 36 hours per week.
An employment contract for 32 hours per week.
8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 8.33%.
Pension accrual via PFZW and other employment conditions according to the VVT collective labor agreement.
Space for development, education, and training that fits your function and ambitions.
The role
You provide integral leadership to the Customer Advice team, consisting of Care & Welfare Mediators and administrative support, totaling approximately 14 FTE. You are responsible for the management of the team, results, and further development of the department. This is not a working foreman role: your role lies in leading, steering, improving, and connecting.
In addition, you look at the client as well as the business operations. You know what is happening within your team, but you also maintain oversight of inflow, staffing, waiting lists, lead times, and throughput. Using management information and KPIs, you see where things are going well, where bottlenecks arise, and where you need to adjust course.
You provide coaching and clear leadership, execute the HR cycle, and help employees grow in professionalism, ownership, and collaboration.
You steer on quality, continuity, client mediation, inflow, staffing, waiting lists, lead times, and results.
You use management information and KPIs to make choices and translate figures into concrete actions for your team and the service provision.
You improve work processes and lead improvement and implementation tasks that contribute to a more accessible and effective Customer Advice department.
You look beyond your own department and work together with neighborhoods, care locations, referrers, and other internal and external partners toward a smooth route to appropriate support, welfare, and care.
This is you
You are a people-oriented leader who gives employees trust and space, but is also clear about expectations and results. You coach, address issues when necessary, and help a team move forward. You do not see change as something you simply devise and then roll out: you know how to bring employees along and ensure that improvements truly become part of daily practice.
Additionally, you have a sense for business operations. You see the connection between client demand, indication, inflow, capacity, staffing, and throughput. You look at figures and at what is needed in practice to guide clients to appropriate support, welfare, or care in a timely manner.

About Humanitas
In their own words
About the company & team
Customer Advice is part of Customer & Market and forms the central gateway of Humanitas. This is where questions from residents in the neighborhood, clients, and referrers converge. Our Care & Welfare Mediators look at which support, welfare service, or care is appropriate and which possibilities are available within Humanitas.
You report directly to the Manager Customer & Market and work closely with colleagues within various parts of Humanitas and with partners in Rotterdam.
In the coming period, we want to further professionalize Customer Advice for our locations and in the neighborhoods. We want to make the route for clients simpler, improve throughput, and better align client demand with our available capacity. This requires good cooperation between different departments, but also insight into processes and figures. You bring those worlds together and, together with your team, continue to build Customer Advice as a strong central gateway.
