Product Owner Project Suite

Are you the future-maker from construction or IT who, as a Product Owner, forms the bridge between the operating companies of VolkerWessels Infrastructure and IT, and is the face of the applications used on projects—namely the Project Suite—for all users? Do you know how to translate user needs into a clear backlog, realize improvements, and ensure that more and more infra projects, such as 'Kunstwerken A44', 'Vught Verdiept', and 'Groot Onderhoud Provincie Limburg', make optimal use of the Project Suite? We utilize technology to make the construction and management of infrastructure smarter, more sustainable, and future-proof. We therefore continuously invest in renewing and modernizing our application landscape, also with a focus on data management.

As Product Owner, you are responsible for the adoption and further development of the project template for document management in SharePoint, VISE (project control system based on Relatics), and Asset Check (inspection tool). You work closely with, among others, process coordinators, System Engineers, document managers, and project information managers from our Infrastructure operating companies: KWS, Van Hattum en Blankevoort, VolkerRail, and Vialis. You are part of the Project Services team and work daily with four functional application managers and the development team on the further development, adoption, and continuity of the Project Suite. As Product Owner, you ensure that the Project Suite aligns optimally with the needs of our projects and actively contribute to the further development and continuity of the platform.

• Developing a product vision and corresponding roadmap

• Gathering and translating user needs from key users

• Aligning wishes and expectations with operating companies, development and management teams, and suppliers

• Managing and prioritizing the product backlog and management tasks so that the team works on the right tasks at the right time

• Preparing and coordinating changes and releases

• Guiding test sessions and implementations for end users

• Responsible for the adoption of the product by means of realizing and maintaining documentation, manuals, and providing training to end users

• Organizing and facilitating key-user meetings

• Actively sharing knowledge about the Project Suite during tenders and startup phases

• Proactively drawing up and executing improvement plans based on SLA performance and management costs

• Estimating the change budget and overseeing the monitoring of the established quarterly budget

• HBO level of work and thinking

• Knowledge of realization processes and process management of infrastructural construction projects

• You oversee the coherence within the application landscape

• Strong communicator: you translate user wishes into concrete solutions and know how to involve stakeholders at all levels, from site workers and work preparers to management and directors. In doing so, you possess strong analytical skills, are positively critical, and have an eye for detail

• You are a team player who proactively seeks collaboration, but also works independently, decisively, and in a solution-oriented manner

• As Product Owner, you enjoy being visibly present, both at the office and at operating companies and project locations

• Reliable and integer, also regarding (cyber)security

• Good command of the Dutch and English languages

Experience as a Product Owner is a plus, but certainly not a requirement.
