Civil Engineering Technician / Groundworker | Overijssel

As a Civil Engineering Technician at KWS, you will work from Holten and 't Harde on beautiful infrastructure projects in Overijssel and the surrounding area. Together with a permanent team, you will take on diverse tasks: from earthworks and sewage systems to roads, paving, and street works.

You will receive clear agreements, good equipment, and colleagues you can rely on. This allows you to do what you are good at: making beautiful and safe work outdoors.

This is what you will do
No two days or projects are the same. One time you are working on a new road or sewage system, the next time on the reconstruction of an industrial estate or the maintenance of existing infrastructure.

You know what is required outdoors, work independently, and step in wherever necessary.

• You perform various earthworks, work together with the machine operator, and layout and inspect trenches, culverts, and slopes.

• You independently install sewage systems, manholes, and piping according to drawings and specifications.

• You work on asphalt and concrete paving and perform street works.

• Together with your crew, you ensure a safe and tidy workplace.

This is what you bring
We are looking for someone who knows outdoor work and loves to roll up their sleeves.

• You have experience as a Civil Engineering Technician, Groundworker, Civil Engineering Employee, Paviour, Road Builder, or in a similar executive role.

• You have experience with earthworks, sewage, street works and/or asphalt and concrete paving.

• You can work independently and are a reliable colleague.

• You work safely and accurately and take responsibility for the quality of your work.

• Preferably, you have a VCA certificate or are willing to obtain one.

Do you still want to learn the trade?
Do you not yet have experience as a Civil Engineering Technician, but are you motivated to learn the trade? Even then, we would love to get in touch with you.

Through the KWS Vakschool, you combine working and learning and are trained to become a professional in civil, road, and hydraulic engineering.

• A full-time salary between € 3,600 and € 4,300 gross per month, depending on your knowledge and experience.

Your region
KWS Infra Zwolle-Leek branch realizes small and large infrastructure projects from design to execution and maintenance in the provinces of Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe, Overijssel, Flevoland, and in the northern part of the province of Gelderland. Independently as a branch or together with other parts within KWS or VolkerWessels. The types of projects are diverse, such as road construction, hydraulic engineering, earthmoving, contributing to the construction of data centers and wind farms, or maintenance of infra objects.
