Safety Specialist in the Netherlands

Safety starts with people! At VSF, we are looking for an enthusiastic safety specialist who loves being on the construction site, makes contact easily, and knows how to bring colleagues along in working safely. With your experience within infrastructural projects, you will make a difference on our projects throughout the Netherlands, where we work on water safety, water quality, and mobility. At VSF, safety is more than just complying with rules. We want everyone to return home safely at the end of the working day. You play an important role in that! You are visible on our projects, engage in conversation easily, and know how to bring safety to the forefront in a practical and positive way. You don't just look at what can be improved, but also have an eye for what is going well. Because we do safe work together!

Together with the project teams, you ensure that our projects are executed safely. That begins as early as the tender and design phase, but your heart lies primarily in practice. You conduct safety rounds, address colleagues regarding risky behavior, and give compliments when things are going well. You communicate easily with project managers, site managers, work preparers, and skilled tradespeople on the construction site. Does something go wrong or does a near-miss occur? Then you investigate the underlying causes together with those involved and focus primarily on how we can learn from it. You are also a point of contact for our clients regarding safety.

You stand firm in your shoes, dare to ask critical questions, and know how to bring people along in a pleasant way. You are a connector who not only advises but also truly gets things moving. Moreover, you are not alone in this: you are part of a team of safety specialists with whom you can spar, collaborate, and share knowledge. In addition to your work on the projects, you think along about how we can make our processes and working methods smarter and safer. You are digitally skilled and easily make use of modern systems and tools that support our work. In this way, you contribute every day to a safe working environment and to projects we can be proud of together.

• A gross monthly salary (based on 40 hours) of € 3,400 to € 4,900, depending on your background and experience;

• A position for 32 to 40 hours per week;

• A sustainable employability budget that we pay out monthly. This is 2.3% of your monthly salary;
