In psychiatry, you provide care to clients in crisis, within an environment that offers them a safe and trusted place. You understand how important your role is in guiding clients during intense moments, and you are able to ensure structure and safety.

As a support worker, you assist clients during their psychiatric deregulation for which they require admission. You offer them an environment where peace and safety are central and help them cope with their emotions and behavior. Together with a multidisciplinary team, you ensure that clients receive the care they need to stabilize. You observe, identify signs, and know how to act quickly and adequately when situations escalate. It may be that you guide clients in daily activities, support them in building a daily structure, or help them to gain insight into their recovery process.

You choose for yourself which location you want to work in. If you want a fixed group and to build a bond, that is possible. If you prefer to alternate between locations and target groups, that is also possible.

• Salary in accordance with the Mental Healthcare Collective Labor Agreement (CAO), classification in function group 45: €3,180 to €4,273 gross per month based on 36 hours. Amounts as of July 1, 2026. Classification depends on your diploma and your experience.
• 8.33% holiday allowance, 8.33% year-end bonus, and irregularity allowance: 22% in the evening, 44% at night, 38% to 49% on Saturday, and 60% on Sunday and public holidays. A Sunday shift therefore yields up to €41.60 per hour.

• A fixed contact person who knows you by name and who answers when you call.

• A completed MBO level 4 or HBO education in the field of care or welfare.
• Good communication skills and the ability to switch gears quickly.
• A calm and professional attitude, even under pressure, with which you offer clients the necessary peace and security.
• Experience within psychiatry is a plus.
