Youth Care Worker C or D | Beschermd Wonen | 36 hours | Deurne

Are you an independent and committed youth care professional who wants to guide young adults toward an independent existence? At Beschermd Wonen St. Jozef in Deurne, you will support young people and young adults aged 17 to 27 within extended youth care and Wmo trajectories, where personal attention and individual guidance are central.

At this moment, we guide ten young people in their development toward an independent existence. The trajectories last an average of 9 months to 2 years and are aimed at strengthening self-reliance, personal agency, and social participation.

You support them with practical and personal issues regarding housing, education, work, finances, and social relationships. Every young person follows their own trajectory, ensuring your guidance is always customized. There are no fixed group moments; the focus lies on individual guidance and building a relationship of trust. You work from a place of connection and stand alongside the client. Based on the principle of connection instead of correction, you build a safe collaborative relationship in which development is central. Furthermore, you are closely involved in the individual trajectories of clients while simultaneously maintaining a helicopter view. This allows you to keep sight of the bigger picture and the collaboration within the location. You work independently during solo shifts and know how to maintain good connections with colleagues and partners simultaneously. Together with the young person, you set goals, monitor progress, and stimulate growth toward independent living.

• Individually guiding and coaching young adults toward independence;

• Drafting, implementing, and evaluating assistance plans;

• Reporting on progress and coordinating with involved network partners;

• Working solo shifts from 09:30 to 17:30 and sleep shifts from 16:30 to 10:20.

You are someone who makes contact easily, radiates calmness, and knows how to motivate young people. You can make decisions independently, but also actively seek collaboration when necessary.

In addition, you possess:

• A relevant care-related mbo level 4 or hbo education with SKJ registration;

• Experience or affinity with guiding young people and young adults;

• Availability for irregular shifts, including sleep shifts.
