Skills

Stichting Kwintes is hiring for this role in several places. This vacancy is in the Netherlands.

This job advert was originally written in Dutch.

The role

As a residential support worker in elderly care, you are a familiar face for elderly clients with psychiatric issues. You support people who, in addition to age-related care needs, also deal with psychological vulnerabilities. You offer support in daily life and ensure a fine balance between personal care and psychiatric guidance. ADL and personal care are an important part of your work. You help clients with washing, dressing, and other daily care moments. Additionally, you provide structure, stimulate independence, and support clients with their psychological vulnerability. You have an eye for changes in behavior and health and know how important personal attention and a trusted bond are. As a residential support worker in elderly care, it is precisely with those small moments that you make a big difference.

Your workplace

You work at a cozy location in a quiet village in Doorn, with a spacious green garden and a convivial atmosphere. Within walking distance, you will find a drop-in center where residents gather for coffee and activities. There is also an apartment where semi-ambulatory guidance is provided. A wonderful place to truly make a difference as a residential support worker in elderly care!

Yvonne van Gent-Dekker (personal support worker) would love to tell you more about her workday:

"My day begins with a handover, after which I distribute medication, drink coffee with residents, and accompany them to appointments. We walk regularly and contribute together to good care. What makes my work special is the involvement. I celebrate small successes with residents and derive much satisfaction from the contact. That makes my work valuable every single day."

Sitiolaan 1 is a location for sheltered living with an average of 30 clients, divided into two groups: long-term stay and temporary stay. We are looking for a colleague for the long-term stay team. Clients between the ages of 60 and 85 with a psychological vulnerability live in this group. Each client has their own apartment.

Somatic care is also provided at this location for support. The guidance is focused on practical and psychological support, so that clients can continue to live at the location for as long, healthy, and independently as possible.

The team places great value on pleasant cooperation and there is a nice, convivial atmosphere at the location.
